Congrats - smart girl!

Wow, never saw a group of usually like minded people attack each other with such aggression before. Now we're dragging up old posts to PUBLICALLY re-post someone's location? In this day and age of anti-gun fervor? Everyone in the world can read this. It's not impossible that some anti-gun nut job decides to do some bad stuff.

Does this really have to devolve into name calling and insults? What the heck ever happened to civil discussion? Good grief. Go ahead - flame me.

Good point, for the record I wasn't advocating drowning, just making it not the most comfy situation next to the cabin.

Yikes, that's a bad way to go! Shooting may be illegal right now, but would be way more merciful. What about just flooding out the den with water, making it unlivable or at least very problematic for them? Might get them to seek a quick relocation. Or fill it back in with dirt?

Happy Birthday!

Cute pup! -
Cost of ownership is very high on that model, not a lot of resale value down the road 10 years or so. I'd prefer to lease. Short term of course.

So sorry for your loss TF. Cool pics of him! -
I used to keep a notebook in the truck with permission notes and records of kills. I put that into a spreadsheet in the late 90's that I still keep up with today. Buck or doe, points, property, stand location and implement used. It goes back to 1983 and has data for me, my wife, and our daughter. Every year when I update it, I'll print it out. Everyone including me seems to like perusing it and reminiscing.

If I recall correctly, mine is at 58 lbs with a 65% letoff. That's enough for me!

Another One to Boycott

I agree with the debt part, credit card debt is the worst debt to carry. I run up a balance from time to time, but try to pay it off every month. Getting points or miles is nice too. It's pretty difficult to travel without using cards. I don't think you can buy plane tickets, book a hotel, rent a car, etc without one. Shopping online with cash must be a no-go as well. -
I'm looking to establish a rough estimate to add central air conditioning to an existing forced air system in our home and was hoping to hear from someone who did this or from any HVAC experts on the forum. I'm just looking for a general ballpark cost as I don't feel like going through an extensive quote process just make a decision. I've got a 9 year old York Furnace with an Aprilaire humidifier. House is basically an 1800 square ft ranch with a 1600 sq ft unfinished basement. Not looking necessarily to cool the basement as that stays pretty cool in the summer on its own. Just want a ballpark to decide if I think I want to do it or not. Not looking for a close number, just trying to figure out if it's $2,000 or $10,000 as I honestly have no idea. I've never had any type of heating or cooling equipment installed so I have no experience. How 'bout it HVAC experts?

And for some reason I keep clicking on the thread. It's like driving past a bad car accident. I can't not look at it.

Sorry to interrupt the thread, but my popcorn delivery just came in. Anyone need a refill? Interruption concluded.

Nice pics!

Yup, thanks for lightening it up!

Took a different way down the hill on the way to work this morning as we see more wildlife off of those roads, and were hoping to see some early riser turkeys. It's a crummy phone pic, and early light to boot, but there are 41 deer in this field, and was not the only field like that. It's about 4 miles down the hill, and my wife quit counting when she hit 200. I'm guessing we saw close to 250 deer before we got down to the highway. No turks though. And for the past three years it's almost impossible to get a doe permit unless it's a landowner's tag.

Whoohoo, 12 pages. Keep it going!

Wow, between this buck and Lawd's post, I'm feeling sad for these beautiful bucks!
-
Wow! He was a nice one. While watching bucks fight, I've often wondered how they don't "put their eye out" with those racks. Sad way to go, I imagine he suffered for a while and succumbed to infection.
