  1. First day the wind hasn't been howling so I took the caller out for the last hour of the day. Saw quite a few tracks but no critters responded. Nice to get out of the house for a couple of hours.:
  2. Awesome video as usual and some great shooting
  3. A guy I know found remains on his property while digging a pond in North Java a few years ago. Did you participate in that at all?? Pretty cool stuff!! https://www.priweb.org/index.php/research/research-projects/the-mastodon-project/north-java-mastodon

  5. Cuomo is on a roll. He is proposing cutting state aid to local government which will mean local government will have to raise taxes or make cuts to maintain budgets. It is a significant amount of money to a lot of towns and will have a big impact on their budgets. A cut in Andrew Cuomo's budget sends town, village officials scrambling ALBANY – Gov. Andrew Cuomo's $176 billion budget proposal included an unwelcome surprise for more than 90 percent of towns and villages across the state: Key state funding they've relied on for years would be eliminated. Cuomo's budget, which he unveiled Tuesday, dramatically changed how the state distributes what's known as Aid and Incentives for Municipalities funding, or AIM, which is state money given to local governments to use as they see fit. Under Cuomo's plan, towns and villages would be able to hang on to their AIM funding — amounts ranging from a thousand to a few million dollars each year — only if they rely on it for more than 2 percent of their budget. https://www.democratandchronicle.com/story/news/politics/albany/2019/01/17/andrew-cuomo-budget-aim-funding-town-village/2602429002/
  6. Here is a decent instructional video that shows how to skin one if you are going to sell it at auction or get it tanned. If you plan on selling to a taxidermist they have to be skinned to include the feet which is a little bit trickier. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DcUMdhwOEvY

  8. Might as well make it two because they aren't getting mine as the result of another persons stupidity.
  9. They will can it because it shows the location of the community. The emphasis now will be strictly on the accused and their families.
  10. I think the next headlines would be about a standoff with a irate citizen.
  11. Do you honestly think with the democrats in the majority Trump will get the opportunity to appoint another judge if the opportunity arises? More than likely they will stalemate him just like Obama was.
  12. My biggest question is why do kids feel the need to get so totally high at such young ages regardless of what they choose to get high on? I have never seen a generation that was so eager to fry their brains.
  13. So if they were legal guns not owned by them why would they be recovered? Mom says he is such a good boy
  14. "Investigators say they have recovered 23 rifles and shotguns, all legal weapons, from multiple homes, and found three IEDs in the home of the 16-year-old suspect" Have to wonder how 3 kids 20 and under obtain 23 rifles and shotguns legally. UPDATE: A fourth has been charged. 15 YEARS OLD
  15. Full Article is here: https://www.fieldandstream.com/54-expert-winter-whitetail-deer-hunting-tips The Closer: Joe DiNitto Method: Big-Woods Tracking Primary Hunting Area: Adirondack Mountains, NY Credentials: In the past 30 years, DiNitto has tracked and killed 28 Adirondack bucks averaging 6 years old each. Almost all were taken on public land, and most in a single day of hunting. The DiNitto family farm in central New York is 1,000-plus acres of alfalfa and corn broken by hardwoods and honeysuckle thickets. A deer nut’s paradise. And Joe DiNitto hasn’t hunted it in 31 years. “I started hunting the Adirondacks with my dad and brother as a young teenager, but when I was 22, I tracked and killed my first big-woods buck.” That was it, he says. “Since then, I can’t shake the allure of big new country—and knowing there’s a buck up ahead of me.” Joe DiNitto Joe DiNitto There’s also a practical reason: “Show me an easier way to get close to a mature whitetail buck, and I’ll do it,” DiNitto says. As a dairy farmer with four kids, he gets little time to hunt and zero time to scout. “I don’t own a trail camera.” But give him three days on snow and he’ll get a chance at a brute. Tracking is so effective, he says, that he almost feels guilty, and he can’t understand why everyone doesn’t do it. “There’s nothing more exhilarating than sneaking to within yards of a wilderness buck. I think about it 365 days a year.” —D.H. Joe DiNitto Joe DiNitto Here's How He Scores Ninety percent of the bucks I kill are carbon copies, in terms of how I hunt. I need snow, but I don’t care what snow—2 inches, 10 inches, fresh or not. Then it’s a basic formula that most deer hunters are familiar with: You cover ground quickly on foot until you find a good buck track, then you follow it until it hooks left or right and starts to meander, which tells you that the buck is just up ahead, either
  16. I agree but she has made it clear that she supports immigration whether it is legal or not. How many of these "dreamers" parents are still here illegally and is she willing to address that. Or will she address the issue of pregnant illegals coming here and their children born her are automatically citizens? If she wasn't "pro-illegal" a lot of these issues would have been fixed before Trump came into office. Not doing anything about it is the same as supporting it when you have the power and authority to make changes. A "path to citizenship" should apply to all not just a select few. A path to citizenship or deportation should be the only two choices.
  17. WASHINGTON — Democratic House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi vowed to pass legislation that would put so-called Dreamers — young undocumented immigrants who came to the U.S. as children — on a pathway to citizenship when her party retakes control of Congress' lower chamber in January. "America draws strength from our long, proud heritage as a nation of immigrants. In the Majority, Democrats will work to reverse the Republicans' destructive anti-immigrant agenda," Pelosi said in a statement Saturday, responding to a letter sent Thursday by the Congressional Hispanic Caucus. "Our House Democratic Majority will once again pass the Dream Act to end the uncertainty and fear inflicted on patriotic young men and women across the country."
  18. That looks like Robhuntandfish's dog
