We started a very small plot up by me this year. Still in the process of clearing and picking rocks. its about 1/3 of an acre and i think we will end up planting it in clover this fall. Good luck getting the rest of your plots in!!! John

I have a predator suit for sale in brown deception. The jacket is a large and the pants are a medium. I'm 5'11" and weigh 180 and they both fit good. I have only used this suit 2 times and it is in excellent condition but one of the wait tighteners ripped. It really doesn't effect anything b/c you can just use a belt if you need to. I'm also including the brand new face mask which was never worn. 100TYD I also have a Natural gear Jacket for sale. This jacket has the removable scent lock liner inside and is in good condition. There is one button missing but besides that it is a great jacket. It also has a hood that folds up and buttons into the jacket and i believe this is somewhat waterproof. 50TYD Thanks for looking!!! I really hope that the crossbow will be allowed this upcoming archery season. I'm going in for shoulder surgery on June 20th and im not sure if will be able to use my compound this year. I would hate to miss out on the whole bow season. Gonna try like hell to start shooting again by early Sept but not sure what will happen yet. John

A lot of good bucks in that area just have to find them. I got a few nice 10's and a real big nontypical on my cams last summer but didnt hunt much up there and never saw them during the season. A lady i know shot a nice 10 over there on opening day of gun also. Good luck this season guys!! John

I honestly dont think that its hunters that are responsibile for the decline in turkey numbers. It would save some birds but i dont think it would make a huge difference in expanding the population. I guess it couldnt hurt though. John

Here is another good link where it breaks down spring turkey harvest by county from 2003-2012. I hunt Greene county and the numbers are way down from the high in 2003. Im not even going to call this weekend im jist going to sit an wait where the two big ones have been hanging out. They have been called to so much by now that they just go the other way when you call to them. John

Same went for me. I was up there from Sunday the 5th- Sunday the 12th. I barely heard any gobbling and was only able to get one bird gobbling good and he didn't come any closer than 80 yards. I also called in 3 jakes that all came in silent and i think one of them saw me move and they didn't come any closer than 50. I did hear some gobbling on another property i hunt but it was as soon as they flew down and then that was it. I'm hoping to have some better luck this weekend but it doesn't sound like its getting any better from the reports here. Good luck guys. John

Sorry to hear you had a bad experience with Dan when you met him. Thanks for the link on the trees from DEC but those are only 2 year old trees and the ones i am going to purchase are 4 year old trees and bigger so they have more of a chance surviving. I didn't order them yet but me and my friend will be splitting a box of 50 real soon. Ill post my results once they arrive and i plant them. John

I know what you mean Geno. As we speak i am talking with my friend about planning my vacation for deer season. I'm getting married in Dec so i cant go away this year but i'm going to do a week long hunt on the island either 1st or 2nd week of Nov. I also passed the time this winter by shed hunting every weekend and ended up with 16 sheds and two great buck skulls one that scored in the 140's as a non typical. Now its time for turkey season and trail cams to pass the time until deer season gets here. John
