Good luck!!! I was out yesterday from dark till 12. Only saw one doe. There were 4 big bucks shot yesterday on the island. Just gotta get through these next 4 days of work then I'll be hunting for 2 weeks straight. John

Sounds like a great hunt geno!!! Went out today amd my brother shot an 8 pointer around 815. Came in grunting and chasing 5 does.

Saw a nice 8 this morning. Came in at 8 this morning 15 yards right under the stand but head on and I had no shot. My friend filmed him who was right above me and woukd have been great footage if I would have shot him. My brother also saw a real big buck around 8:30 but he was in the brush and he couldn't get a shot. Trailcam pic of him under the stand John

Yea i hear you. We have a great spot on the island that has 11 different bucks coming in to hit a scrape. We haven't hunted it yet but now there have been a few there in the mornings around 7:05 so i'm getting in the stand tomorrow morning. I know what you mean about upstate. i have a house in Greene county and love being in the woods up there this time of year even though there aren't many big bucks in the area i hunt. Pete i actually know a guy who you hunt with who i met at a party up there. Forgot his name but he is the guy with the two huge dogs lol. John

1C I have 11 different bucks visiting a scrape that was opened up a few weeks ago. Most of the action is at night but within the past few days there were 2 different bucks that were there in the morning around 7am. both were nice bucks. We have a stand right over the scrape and i was holding off on hunting it until things got good but will be in the stand on Saturday morning. I cant wait!!! some of the bucks that are showing up are real nice ones. John

Awesome buck geno. I hope you get a shot at him!!! I have some real nice bucks on my cam this year on the island just haven't gotten around to posting them yet. They all started showing up about 3 weeks ago hitting a scrape real hard. I will be Hunting the island next weekend for the first time this year but will not hunt that spot until the first week of Nov. John

1am that is a little early in my book lol. Make sure you wear a saftey harness b/c by about 3 you will probably be sound asleep. John

Havent been out on the island yet. Next weekend will be my first time out there. Heading upstate this weekend one last time then most of my hunts will be on the island until opening day of gun season. One of my friends shot a doe and another guy i know gor a spike for his first deer. Seen a few pictures of some nice ones bit don't know who the guys were that shot them or where. John

I got first two weeks of Nov and then Last two weeks of Dec (Hunting LI so bow goes unitl dec 31st) I cant wait!! John

high of 59 where i hunt for sat and sunday. Going with the girlfriend to go apple/pumpkin picking but i will def be out in the mornings and try to get out on sat afternoon if i play my cards right. Just moved a stand on sunday to a real good area full of white oaks. rubs droppings and sh*t everywhere. I know there is a big 10 point running around up there and i hope to get a crack at him this weekend. John

Sorry to hear but I know the feeling. Got to.my house upstate tonight and the lights were on and door was open. Somebody broke in and stole about 3000 worth of stuff from my house. 3 bows a full tool chest my brand new treestand and climbing sticks and all of mine and my brothers fishing stuff. They also stole all of my older brothers hunting clothes. FCKN scumbags. The police were here to fill out a report but I'm about 99% sure they will never find out who did it. All I can say is I really hope they find out before I do. I hope you find the thieves and they get what They deserve.
