  1. Youre talking about Harry Dunn. A guy whose been a LEO for 13 years. Average guy, probably makes an okay living, probably lives an average life. Basically, you and me. This average guy has decided to lie to congress and commit perjury thereby compromising his career, livelihood, reputation, freedom and his generally average life, as well as putting a target on his back with some of the more radical people in the country for what purpose again? To show them? Oy vey!
  2. Have her grab you a good hat. https://mantatourguides.com/how-to-buy-the-best-panama-hat-and-not-get-ripped-off/blog
  3. Always nice to get a little taste of home. During my longer stints in Asia I would go to McDonalds once in a while, even though I never go here.
  4. It's very tasty and addictive, so easy to overeat. Did it pass muster with him?
  5. I love Ethiopian food. Usually comes out with a huge injera or flatbread on a platter with dollops of the various meat and vegetables. Tear off a little piece, scoop some meat and consume. Very communal way of eating. I used to eat with my fingers in South India as well, but there the plate was a banana leaf which held rice and cooked foods. Grab some rice, mix with stew, eat. Would love to have some good banana leaf again.
  6. Wait ... is Biden is the mastermind behind a broad agenda to use the market dominance of social media platforms to squeeze alternative news sources out of existence and thereby control the flow of information or an addled old man who can't tie his own shoes? Pick a lane, dude.
  7. Hypothetically, are you saying that two NY residents could drive to PA and legally sell/buy a long gun then drive back? Hypothetically, it might be easier to get the guy to go to a local FFL. That is, if these two people actually existed and weren't just a hypothetical example.
  8. Hypothetically speaking, what if you had a neighbour that wanted to sell an older shotgun but didn't want to use an FFL?
  9. There are orgs in NY that mentor and take new hunters out. There are also a few guides that probably could accomodate you. I would post your location, experience and limitations, and I'm sure someone could help you. Good luck.
  10. They must be well hidden as I can't see any from the road.
  11. The WK Brewery is in a very cool little dead-end valley that leads to the Hunter Mountain trailhead and drains the West Kill into the Schoharie. I've fished up there a few times looking for brook trout. Last year, I did a shoot for Field and Stream and used the forest at the trailhead. Not sure if you can do a drop in or have to buy tickets for the whole weekend, but if the former I may come by.
  12. That is a shocking number. I would have thought that no matter your station in life, you would drum into your kids the importance of graduating high school.
  13. Colour me shocked. I just looked it up and there an 85% graduation rate.
  14. Outside of some unusual circumstances, are there really people under 50 without a HS diploma these days?
  15. They also use melters to deal with streets that they can't get a truck down. I've never experienced it but apparently they will come to the head of a street at any time of the day or night and sound a horn. You have 10 minutes to move your car or it will be towed. People run to the cars in pajamas, coats and boots and move them around the block, then line up behind the removal trucks and park once the street is cleared. Canadians know snow.
  16. For road cleaning and snow removal you need to look to Montreal where they literally remove the snow.
  17. Double check, but you may also need to display your license on your body similar to a hunting license here.
  18. This may be the first Ruger/Marlin. Looks pretty sweet. https://1895gunner.com/bulletpoints/bulletpoints-19.html
  19. 103 days until bow opener. And counting.
  20. Or Gaia. All should have a trial period if you just need a quick check. FYI - once I ended the trial with OnX, they sent me a code dropping the price from $29/yr to $19/yr.
  21. Not a lawyer, but my understanding is that you are immune if a trespasser hurts themselves on your property. Though I guess what constitutes a hazard could be interpreted a lot of ways. http://albany.cce.cornell.edu/environment/woodlot-management/dealing-with-trespassers#:~:text=New York's General Obligations Law,warning of a known hazard.
  22. One. Though sometimes two if I brush my hair and try really hard at the local dive bar.
  23. This "documentary" scared the hell out of me in 1971.
