I have had this happen before in the auto parts store many times.... Ill respond "Wow... I never thought of putting the drain pan down before removing the plug.." lol

Pumped out my girlfriends basement until midnight last night. Luckily I was able to pump faster then the water could come in and nothing made it to the finished side, so no damage. The original sewer line was cut on the side of the house and all the original drain openings in the basement were plugged with hydraulic cement... except for the stationary tub. Ground water was entering through the abandoned line and filling up the tub... every 5 minutes, pump the tub out into the sump hole. Now I have to relocate the drain to the sump hole and plug a few more spots where water comes in... good thing the power didn't go out or this would have been a horrible mess

Interesting side note.. Back in the 90's somewhere, I purchased a grinder from Brand Names, I do not know what company made it but I still have it and it still works perfectly. It is my backup now. I cant imagine how many deer were ground up in that thing...

I do not add anything unless I am making sausage. Most of the ground venison goes into my pasta sauce or tacos and the like. I will make burgers now and then with an egg and I am going to but ground bacon in the next batch of burgers also.

I have this same grinder going on three years now and my son in law also has the same one. No problems at all with it and it is affordable and easy to get new knives and plates for it. Like others have said, almost frozen meat cuts and grinds very easily. I like to put the cubed meat for grind in the freezer for an hour or two before I grind it.

Stainless will dull your knives in a hurry.. we use slabs of nylon sheeting.. half inch thick to cut on. Disinfect it well before each use.. I use a 1 % bleach and water solution in a spray bottle. I also use filet knives.. have a few to rotate in and out between sharpenings
