Happy birthday! My twins birthday today too

I went squirrel hunting yesterday... I only saw one grey and nothing else... no shot either. Am I not going to see many on warmer days? It was about 75 out, no wind, beautiful day. I seem to see them all the time when I am not hunting them!

16 days till southern archery opens . Are you ready
Arcade Hunter replied to rob-c's topic in General Chit Chat
I have set up my stand last weekend and all my gear is ready. I have to pick up more arrows and broadheads and do a little practicing with the bow... Oct 1st can't get here soon enough. Our group leased a new property in 9M outside of Ellicottville for this season and I am chomping at the bit to get out there and learn the area better. The lease borders hundreds of acres state land, so there is a lot of exploring to be done. -
Oh Deer! Thats an awesome buck! Good luck!!

I have a 40 ft drilled well that kept running dry during the summer months. I had two options... one: drill the same well deeper to 100 FT. At the time it cost 40 bucks a foot. Since the septic was within 100 ft of that well, the drilling company wouldn't do that for me, understandably so. They had to drill a new well. The cheapest thing might be to drill your existing well deeper. If the existing casing is still in good shape, they should be able to do it. They may also be able to blow the well. They will pressurize it effectively fracturing in inner walls of the well to allow more passages for the water to flow. Wells are not cheap, so hopefully, they can get your original drilled one up and running.

Most likely needs a carb rebuild. All my stuff runs ethanol and it all runs fine.... except for the 2 strokes. I have to rebuild carbs every 3 years or so. Like WNYBuckHunter said, you will need new bulb and fuel lines too

Nice fish, Guys! -
I grew up in Amherst (Eggertsville) also... Our thing was biking all over the place for day fishing trips. I lived near Bocces Pizza on Baily... from there we would bike to as far as Grand Island... We fished all over the Island...From Beaver to Buckhorn. Foot of Sheridan Dr. was a popular spot too. At that time they were just starting to build the UB South campus. All the ponds were in and we caught tons of stuff in there... one of the ponds held a few walleye. We only caught (and released) two yellows in there, then never saw one again. Big carp, tons of panfish, bullheads and bass. Another popular spot was under the south Grand Island bridge. Never walked away empty handed from there! Great memories
