Discharge of Firearms, Crossbows and BowsFor information on where various legal implements may be used in the state, see Rifle, Shotgun, Crossbow and Bow Areas. It is illegal to discharge a firearm, longbow or crossbow: so that the load or arrow passes over any part of a public highway, within 500 feet (for a firearm), 250 feet (for a crossbow) or 150 feet (for a longbow) of any school, playground, or an occupied factory or church, within 500 feet (for a firearm), 250 feet (for a crossbow) or 150 feet (for a longbow) of a dwelling, farm building or structure in occupation or use unless you own it, lease it, are an immediate member of the family, an employee, or have the owner's consent. You may hunt waterfowl with a firearm or longbow, over water, within 500 feet of a dwelling or public structure as long as neither are within 500 feet (for a firearm) or 150 feet (for a longbow) in the direction you are shooting. You may not hunt waterfowl with a crossbow. For the purpose of these laws, definitions are as follows: Dwelling houses -- a permanent place where people live and sleep. Excluded are temporary residential units including camping trailers, motor homes or other portable shelters. Also excluded are abandoned dwellings, detached garages, tree houses, "playscapes", decks, pool areas, storage sheds and out-buildings - even when/if they are temporarily occupied. A permanent camp or cabin may qualify as a "dwelling house". Farm building, farm structure that is either occupied or used -- these structures are largely determined on a case-by-case basis. To qualify, the premises alleged to be a farm must be utilized principally for agricultural production for commercial purposes, including but not limited to crops, fruit, hay, livestock, production of dairy products, nurseries/greenhouses. There is no minimum number of acres that must be either owned or farmed to qualify. To receive protection the farm building or farm structure must be either occupied by people or livestock or used in some, even small, degree for storage of farm related tools, equipment or livestock. Excluded would be structures and out-buildings on acreage or lands that are not a "farm" even if they are temporarily occupied. School building, school playground -- a school building is any building owned by a school district. A school playground is interpreted to mean any area that is maintained by the school including mowed lawns and fields, athletic fields, playgrounds, and/or other areas where students engage in school sponsored activities. Excluded are school parking lots. A maintenance building or bus garage owned by a school district is not a "school building" but would be a "factory" as discussed below. Factory or church -- A factory is interpreted to mean any building or structure used for commercial purposes. The discharge of a firearm or longbow within 500 feet of a factory or church is prohibited only when such building is occupied at the time of discharge.

You have to adhere to the setback rules for occupied structures. 500 feet for guns, 250 for crossbows and 150 for vertical bows. Your structures dont count, only ones that you dont own and/or have permission to shoot closer to.

Why would the site send you an advertising prospective? Theres a clear and simple way to become a site sponsor thats posted right on the site. The owners of the site dont go looking for sponsors or donations, contributors come to the site asking if theres anything they can do to help out. I havent signed your petition because I have no interest in a dove season. I dont see anything wrong with it, but why would I sign a petition for something I have no interest in and that will never affect me in any way shape or form? Scanned your social media? You dont know who has looked at your Facebook page unless they have followed or liked it. You are truly delusional. This site was great before you and it will be great after you are gone. -

That would be a contact form. Each tab gives the site owner a slightly different message so that they know what the member is contacting them about. There is nothing on this site keeping anything toward the top unless we pin it. There is no conspiracy going on here, the newest posts stay at the top. Ran their email addresses? Through what exactly? If you are having issues with users that are supposedly from other countries, etc, then why wouldnt you bring it to our attention and we can look into it? Honestly, you seem to have trouble figuring out basic functions of the forum, I find it hard to believe that you know how to track down the source of an email. Listen, if you dont like the site, then stop coming here. If you dont want to donate, then fine, but theres no reason for you to make a big announcement about it. -

Maybe you would donate because of the amount of support you have garnered for your cause through this site. Didnt you pretty much use this forum as a start to help launch your crusade? The site doesnt have to allow you to post all kinds of threads about your dove hunting stuff, or allow you to have a link to your outside site/Facebook at the bottom of every post. If you cant handle criticism, then maybe you should reconsider putting yourself out there where you are a target for it. Have I donated? Ive put more time and energy into helping out with this site than just about anyone. I did in fact donate right off the bat when the owner offered it up. -

Welcome to the Internet Mike. Pretty arrogant of you to come into the site suggestions thread and proclaim that you wont donate to the site where you thump your cause day in and day out, and then tell the site owner that they should appreciate your "information and content". JMO -
It all depends on what you want to do with the boat. My opinion on those two choices, is that I wouldnt go with either for a fishing boat. I also would not suggest an I/O for a first time boater, I would go with an outboard. There are more things to go wrong with an I/O setup than an outboard, more winterization considerations, etc. Better to keep it simple on your first go-round. I would also never ever buy a new boat. You take a huge hit on depreciation with them, its much better to buy used. If I was in the market for a fish and ski boat, it would be along these lines (used of course) http://www.nitro.com/boat/?boat=3820 Again, this is all just my opinion based on the boats Ive owned and dealt with here in NY, and when I lived in Florida and worked at a marina down there (also owned boats there). Whatever you decide to buy, just remember a few things: 1 - the two best days of a boat owners life are the day that they buy it and the day that they sell it. 2 - a boat is nothing more than a hole in the water that you throw money into. 3 - Break Out Another Thousand

Howard is great on most things. Lots of common sense rolling around in his brain. -
I try to keep mine in a generally N, NW or NE facing direction if at all possible.
-
Hey Biz, is your camera facing slightly SW? If it is, Id move it to a more Northerly direction. That way the sunset, glare, etc wont affect your pics. The sun beaming on the cam sensor can cause unwanted triggers as well.

Ive had Skullcandy headphones for years. Great products. I wish my ear buds would die so Id have an excuse to buy bluetooth ones lol.

This past Friday I got back from a business trip to Nashville in the afternoon, and was out on a friends boat on Honeoye Lake around 7pm or so. Caught some largemouth and a perch on a jerk bait and then switched to top water just before sunset. We caught so many on topwater that we quit counting after 10 or 15 minutes. It was a great time! Heres a pic that one of the guys snapped. Sunday, I headed down to the farms and got 4 of my trail cams setup. I used some home made screw in mounts, which were great setting up. We will see how well they hold up. -
