Ill be picking up an Ameristep Doghouse this year. Ive tried my hub blind, it just takes too long and is a bit too heavy to be really portable. Ive used a Doghouse before and they are great.

I dont have a great pic of my current turkey setup, but its a Charles Daly Field Hunter 12 Ga with Tru Glo sight and an HS Strut Undertaker choke.

Thanks for the heads up on that. I was actually looking for a new turkey gun, as I need to get my daughter into something, and I almost pulled the trigger on the Winchester SPX, but the Mossy 930 is the same price. Ill take an auto over a pump any day of the week.

Thanks guys! I hope I can at least get her on some birds. My whole turkey season this year will be an effort to get her a chance. If I get some time behind the gun, then thats ok. Ill probably spend most of it filming her hunts. -

I took Haley out to get her a few shots on my 12 Ga semi that we will be using for turkey. She was a little nervous, as it's the biggest gun she's ever shot. After 2 shots, the nerves were gone. She felt a bit more comfortable using the shooting stick. I had her take 2 shots with no ear plugs so she knew what to expect. She did pretty darn good. -
I agree with that statement 100%. It would just take a simple 5 questions each year when you buy your license. It could all be automated, and simple. That way you dont have a crap load of guys walking around saying things like "my voice doesnt count because I have never gotten a survey". Its about more than just accuracy.

Oh I agree. I wasnt saying anything about that, I was just saying that for the audience size, I thought the number of respondents was pretty good. Thats all.

I used to enjoy it when I had the time to spare. Nowdays I just dont, and it has become something that sucks up time I really could be using doing something constructive instead of riding around burning gas for a couple of hours at a crack. It has nothing to do with hating being outside or anything like that.

Again, this guy saying there was 350 doesnt mean thats what there was. What convention is he speaking about? Is he talking about the whole event (which goes on for multiple days) or is he talking about a banquet, etc etc? If youre gonna throw numbers and accusations out there, come with details. After all, you are always asking for the same type of hard data to back up CWD info, are you not?

I just raked all of the leaves I didnt get to during the fall yesterday. My lawn is starting to look like its going to need mowed soon. When I sell this place and move back out of the village, my next house will have a very small lawn, I hate mowing the grass. So much time and money spent for nothing really.

Knowing how Covert is with warranty, has he contacted them to see if they will replace it? Ive always bought my Coverts from you and never had them bat an eye at replacing any of them. Even after 2 or 3 years of use. If they replace it, problem solved.

I have one, its a black flash model. I would say the night time pics and videos are ok. You arent going to win any photo contests with them, but they are more than adequate for normal trailcam purposes. Daytime pics are really nice. Mine has alot of good features and does pretty good with battery life.

You need to stop taking comments on the QDMA forums as gospel. The commenter might have been talking about one of the banquets at the convention, but what you fail to realize is that there are multiple banquets at the National Convention. Ive been to the Convention, in 2013, and I can assure you, 300 or 350 is way off base. You also have to remember that many more people attend the convention than the banquets themselves. Youd know these things if you had any first hand knowledge of what you are talking about right now.

You said that 300 show for a fundraiser. I assume that meant the national convention because that was the subject of the discussion at that point. Im asking where do you get that 300 showed for the national convention.

I realize there are people that think that way, but the only thing I can do is to try and convince them otherwise when I run into them.

I dont see them as ruining our sport, just like I dont see porn as ruining anything either. I do see them for what they are the majority of the time, 30 - 60 minute long commercials.

Thats one fight you will never win. Its been proven throughout history. Embrace it and move along, or get left behind. My kids have ipads, xbox, computers, phones, etc and look at how interested in the outdoors they are. Its all about keeping things in balance.
