  1. Sounds like in the city limits, so yeah, not exactly what I would call Ag country.
  2. Yep, I watched it. Again I ask, why would you call him a POS? What was unethical about the video or his actions?
  3. I searched their site, nothing there except the article about LI. Who has suggested what in Elmira/Region 8?
  4. Depends on where they are talking about doing it. In the town/city limits of Elmira? Link to the article?
  5. Theres nothing illegal in NY about shooting multiple deer at once as long as you have the tags for it.
  6. You wont get any crap from me. As long as its done legally, and the herd in your area can sustain it, stack em like cord wood if you want to.
  7. Good lord, I guess none of you guys have ever had to take a follow up shot on a deer before? He killed 4 deer with 5 shots, and you say its sloppy shooting, poor sportsmanship or unethical? All 4 of those deer were dead within 45 seconds of the first shot. Some of you guys really are ridiculous. Flame a fellow hunter thats following the laws and not doing anything to make the animals suffer needlessly.
  8. Dont let the door hit you on the way out...
  9. Turn a blind eye to them, and how will you ever know if your kids or people around you might have a problem with them? I just try to be a bit knowledgeable on things like that so Im not one of those dumb dumbs that sits there and says "I had no idea my kid was doing drugs. Hes such a good boy...."
  10. Keep flaming the forum and you are out of here breethwithme.
  11. It might happen, I hope it does. The practice comment was a joke. Hardy har
  12. Ok so you cant back up the statement. You wouldnt last long on your own, and you certainly wouldnt thrive without others. Groups need rules, deny it all you want, but anarchy doesnt work.
  13. Oh and whats the need to practice? They darn near shoot the animals by themselves anyhow.
  14. It has to become a legal hunting implement first. Same problem as to why it isnt allowed for deer.
  15. Yeah i dont get the guys that wont shoot does for whatever reason, and then dont understand why the population is considered above carrying capacity and needs to be thinned out.
  16. They will still never be the same as long island. You do realize, that most of the homes you see in those areas are just road frontage thats been sold. Lots of farms backing them up. You can still hunt in Henrietta and other suburban areas, they dont do bait and shoots just anywhere. Towns like Avon and Geneseo wont become Henriettas, they are too far from the real commerce center of the area, which is still Rochester and the surrounding towns that hold the infrastructure to make it possible. They will see a bit of sprawl, but it will only go so far unless some major infrastructure changes happen and bigger industry moves in. 390 keeps Avon somewhat viable, and the college in Geneseo keeps that town going.
  17. Sure you can, it just reduces its potency. You can also add it to a joint or other things and smoke it that way. Crack is still coke, just a further processed version of it.
  18. You ever want to try one out, let me know, youd be more than welcome.
  19. For everyday carry, I loooooove my Sig-Sauer P238. Its a great shooting little gun, around the same size as an LCP, but its a far nicer piece. A bit more weight to it, which makes it a bit less jumpy. Mine came with the Sig-laser as well. I pocket carry it most of the time.
  20. Grow, that simply would not happen in a largely agricultural, open area. Its fine and dandy to say what if and such, but its not a realistic question to begin with. You will always have farmers allowing hunters in those areas. Sure, land access is an issue to many people that dont own the land, but the majority of those that do, will allow hunting to go on. Especially farmers. Who they allow on their land, is really nobodys business other than their own. As far as the pockets of super high deer density, well, those pockets need to be taken care of. It is what it is. In any case, it wont happen in my area, certainly not in the next 10 years, and definitely not on the land I hunt. If you wish to know how I can be certain of that, you can PM me.
  21. Aim for the bottom 1/3rd of the vitals, like you are going straight to the heart. If the deer "jumps the string" (they are actually squatting down to pre-load the muscles in their legs), they will drop right into the arrow, and you should still double lung the deer. If it doesnt, you get a perfect heart shot.
  22. Show me ONE example of a society, even remotely the size and makeup of ours, that thrives with no government in place. I wont hold my breath waiting BTW, you are sadly mistaken in your presumption of who thinks we need some sort of government in place.
