Their goal is to shove Antler Restrictions down everyone in the state's throat. They can get bent as far as Im concerned. -

If you want to join a deer related group that actually does things to benefit all deer hunters, and all hunters in general, join the QDMA. -

Thats not it -
Geeze, I forgot to post the pic of plot 2 in here from last week. Heres a quick shot of it last night. I havent gotten to the other plots much lately, but Ill take some pics when I do check them. Last night we disced up a brand new trail that was put in through the woods. The main goal of the discing was to break the ground up and smooth it out a bit. While we were at it, we planted 5 big bags of feed oat seed that we were given. Hopefully it grows, as it will serve two purposes, holding the soil in place, and feeding the deer.

I like big racks, but small racks can be just as fun. -

Climbing sticks/separate sections/screw in steps?
WNYBuckHunter replied to nybuckboy's topic in Deer Hunting
If you set the sticks up properly, there is no long step. I used to make the mistake of just throwing them together, and had that problem, but figured out I just wasnt putting them together right. -

Same people, sites hosted on the same subnet (probably the same web server), etc etc. They go through alot trying to hide their stripes. http://arforny.com/ -
I hear ya. I butcher my own, so I know where its been and how its been handled. I know how long its been frozen, thawed, etc. I dont cook my meat well done, but I dont eat it if its been left out either lol.

This is one of the pro-AR groups from the Hudson Valley, just so you know. -
Yeah people arent selling a whole heck of alot right now. If you have time, stop in to Avon Gun, he has lots of used stuff. Racks were pretty full a week ago when I stopped in.

Couple of videos from my last pull
WNYBuckHunter replied to WNYBuckHunter's topic in Trail Camera Pictures
Its a major funnel point. It doesnt change all that much once the corn is cut, which doesnt happen until the 2nd or 3rd week of gun season anyhow. The farmer uses an old combine that drops ears and spills all over the place, so theres always plenty for them to eat after the corn comes down. Its always a major hot spot when those 2 fields get planted in corn. Theres a stand off to the right of the frame, about 30ish yards, and another one 60 yards behind the cam. Just to the right and behind the camera is a deep creek bed, and they move up and down that alot, as well as cross the creek right there where the cam is. The bank on either side literally has an 18" deep cut in it from the deer crossing there. I will put cams near to where I hunt, but never right by my stand. -
Climbing sticks/separate sections/screw in steps?
WNYBuckHunter replied to nybuckboy's topic in Deer Hunting
If you want to get to the full height of the sticks, use a couple of screw ins above the top of them for hand holds. That way, you can put the platform of your stand just below the top step of the sticks, and get your feet all the way to the top of the sticks and step down a little onto the platform. Thats what we typically do. I wish I had a picture of one of our sets, but heres a quick diagram that shows what we do. -
So you ate rawish meat that sat out on a table for days? What does that have to do with eating fresh, raw meat?
-
Yes, but you have to go through an FFL so they can do the background crap.
