Phade does anyone make a film you can put on the flash array that would get rid of it without killing the effective range?

He didnt say he "shoots at" running deer, he said the guy shoots running deer, which would mean he hits and kills them.

I think what they were actually referring to as the Rut, is what has some guys getting the question wrong. I believe they are talking about what triggers all rutting activity, not just breeding or full blown chasing, but everything that leads up to that, the rise in hormones that causes bucks to start acting differently. Thats just how I read it.

A bunch of fields in my area got cut in the last 2 days. The only corn still standing is whats still green.

NFA, go take a peek at the article on the QDMA site, written by Matt Ross about buck movements and some of the GPS tracking studies that have been done on deer of all age classes. I do hunt state land from time to time, but admittedly, most of mine is private land. Now, with that being said, I see how many people hunt the state land around me, and most of the private land I hunt sees more, and more consistent pressure than the state land does. The advantage to the private land I hunt, is that we have more available food and slightly more untouched cover, but after the first couple of weeks of bow season, the deer get spookier by the day. Once gun season starts, well, all bets are off. We have some guys that just want to drive every piece of of the property, every weekend. Im sure my success rates would be higher if we had better control over the place.

Exactly, and that means those in our ranks that do something to cause a black eye to the rest of us, should be called on it, and not make excuses for their actions. Good luck this year

On the properties I hunt, we take as many as we can. On the one main property last year, there were between 15 - 20 does taken. I think there are more this year than there were last year. I bumped 25 - 30 of them out of one bean field a couple of weeks ago.

Grizz, the cages I made are only @ 3 feet in diameter. No need to fence off a large section.

I dont see the article as embarrassing at all. I think it made the deer farm owners look like dolts, who admitted that their operation is what it is, a livestock operation where people pay to kill farm animals. It showed that it has nothing in common with hunting other than a dead animal at the end.

Sad to hear. I feel for the guys family. As has been said, wear those safety harnesses and be careful out there. It only takes an extra few seconds to strap in.

Calling me out on what? I never said whether or not I carry while Im bow hunting. I said I hunt other game with a firearm during bow season, which is perfectly legal, or dont you know what the regulations are?
