  1. We all carry 4 screw in steps in our bags, the bottom 4 dont get left in the tree. Apparently the thieves are doing the same thing.
  2. LMAO, I love how people react on here for being called out on breaking the game laws.
  3. You can get a Vortex Crossfire II for a fairly low price if you look around. They are inexpensive, but very high quality for the price, and they have a lifetime warranty. They have a 2-7x32 that would be great for a shotgun. Check cameraland for good deals, or PM boarman1 over on Archerytalk.
  4. Awesome. The smile on your son's face really says it all. Congrats to both of you!
  5. no problem. Just upload to there, and copy/paste the tag to your thread here.
  6. While we were out checking stands yesterday, we discovered one hang on gone, and about 30 screw in steps missing, along with a bunch of hoist rope clips cut off. Ass wipes.
  7. There can be lots of reasons for sway, from how the weight is loaded on the trailer, to overloaded axle or tires, to air pressure in the tires. Most people just have no idea how to properly load their trailer, even the small ones.
  8. I partially freeze most of what I grind, so it grinds better, then I vacuum seal and put it in the freezer after its ground. No issues.
  9. Whos crying, just pointed out what youre up to.
  10. We have 1 last stand to hang, then do a quick check of all the others (@ 30 sets between 2 properties) and we will be done. This weekend is button up time.
  11. I always hunt based on the wind, doesnt matter if its bow season or gun season, its just as important at all times.
  12. Oh good god belo, are you starting the crap flinging again? I agree with phade BTW, 90% of the deer I have taken in early bow season have been in the afternoon sit, but it all depends on the spot. I do have a few good morning spots, but they generally dont really start heating up until rut/gun season time.
  13. 4 new stands, lots of scouting, new food plots. Thats about it for me.
  14. I was just given a pack of bear steak last week. I seasoned it and let it marinade for a day, then slapped it on the grill and cooked it to a medium level. It was very good, though I wouldnt compare it to beef. It had a stronger flavor than beef, and was more rich. I prefer venison to it, but will never turn down an opportunity to shoot one or eat some of the meat.
  15. Ive been seeing some fields browning up pretty good already
  16. Well, other than on the deer farms Ive been to, the buck I shot during bow season a couple of seasons ago was at about 3 to 5 yards, on the ground. When I shot him, he ran in a circle, and came right at me. He passed me on a full death run, so close I felt the breeze.
  17. To you. Some people have fun with it, no need to crap in their corn flakes.
  18. Well, when you buy something with a lifetime warranty, it shouldnt surprise you that they get replaced when they are broken. Leupold has good stuff, but I buy Vortex, same warranty, just as good of glass and less pricey.
  19. Nothing new, been around for years. Its an easy way to bump fire a gun, which can be done with a regular stock. Nothing but drummed up media hype.
