  1. You really are a trip man. Enjoy your night. Sent from my Moto E (4) Plus using Tapatalk
  2. Ummmm. I had three niece's in the sandy Hook shooting and one in the Vegas shooting. All survived unscathed physically. Not sure what your point was. Sent from my Moto E (4) Plus using Tapatalk
  3. I hope he stays healthy for a left handed bat in the lineup. You can even come up with a scenario where bird isn't on the 25 opening day depending on how many pitchers they keep. I hope he doesn't turn into Nick Johnson. Sent from my Moto E (4) Plus using Tapatalk
  4. Sorry. You can get on the list to adopt the dropouts, but last check it was a 1 to 2 year wait. Great dogs if you can wait that long. Sent from my Moto E (4) Plus using Tapatalk
  5. Latest photos of our pups. Eyes are open and they are mobile. Sent from my Moto E (4) Plus using Tapatalk
  6. Great memories. I can taste them through the photo. I used to rest my huffy against that light pole. Looks completely unchanged. If you continued down Brook street and made your next left at the light I lived right up that hill. I could swear you could smell the bakery on a crisp fall morning from my bedroom window. Thanks for taking me back about 35 years. Sent from my Moto E (4) Plus using Tapatalk
  7. Yeah. Same place. 808 I think used to be on Scarsdale Ave down by the train station (I think it was 808 Scarsdale Ave). Glad to know fish gourmet is still there and serving good food. I'll have to get back down there someday. Sent from my Moto E (4) Plus using Tapatalk
  8. It's a little too long of a bike ride for me now or I'd meet you there. There was a salumeria next to Eastchester fish gourmet that was killer too. Again that was 30 years ago so Lord knows if it is still there. Sent from my Moto E (4) Plus using Tapatalk
  9. Of course. My old man used to wake me up early on weekend mornings to ride down there on my bike and pickup donuts for breakfast and rolls for Sunday dinner. Sent from my Moto E (4) Plus using Tapatalk
  10. That's on 22 across from a paint store right? I grew up around the corner. Haven't been there in 20 years. Glad to know it's still around. Sent from my Moto E (4) Plus using Tapatalk
  11. I got my in ground oil tank pulled and a new one installed in the basement. Think she'll like it? Sent from my Moto E (4) Plus using Tapatalk
  12. White knuckle drive home from train station in Putnam county last night. Looks like they decided to wait for the storm to finish before they cleared the roads. Cleaned the driveway and walkway last night with my boys. Looks like a quarter inch of ice fell overnight. Two hour delay and another white knuckle drive to train station. Stay safe all those on the road. I'd prefer a foot of snow over this crap. Sent from my Moto E (4) Plus using Tapatalk
  13. Same program. If she gets puppies named Hachi, Hedda, Hickory, Hansa, Haiku and Harriet over the next few months they were from our dog. Thanks to your mom for doing the hard part and helping with the puppy raising. Sent from my Moto E (4) Plus using Tapatalk
  14. New photo from today. Reports are everyone is doing well and our dog is a good first time mom. Still a while till their eyes open. Sent from my Moto E (4) Plus using Tapatalk
  15. I think I have posted about this before, but my family fosters brood dogs for Guiding Eyes for the Blind in Patterson. Our latest brood, Ikea, whelped six new pups this past weekend. She carried seven, but one unfortunately didn't make it through whelping. Let's hope they all make the grade to become the next generation of service dogs. Mom and pups are resting well as you can see. I'll try to post updates on their progress as I get them.
  16. As a UNC alum, I gotta say my hate list starts and ends with Laettner. I hate him so much I can't even watch the I Hate Christian Laettner 30 for 30. I'll go to my grave convinced UNLV threw the rematch game for money and he should have been T'd up against Kentucky the next year. Of course, I am far from an objective fan [emoji3]. I am sure if you knew him or had a connection there are plenty of reasons to feel different. On a funny note, my boys are starting to talk about colleges and I told them they could go anywhere they wanted. They asked timidly, "Even Dook?" I told them sure they could go there if they wanted, but they should start saving up cause it's very expensive and there is no way I am ever writing a check made out to Dook. 17. I am very grateful that he couldn't count (check out my screen name). He also travelled when he got the rebound on the missed free throw. I think I still am hungover from the party that night. Sent from my Moto E (4) Plus using Tapatalk
  18. In the last 5 hours we have had every form of precipitation in Putnam county. I expect to see frogs and locusts next. Not sure what I am shovelling but it feels like cement. Sent from my Moto E (4) Plus using Tapatalk
  19. Rinella got me in to it with some of his recipes. Gives an additional option for the prep of venison. I am going to try some soppresata (spelling?) this winter. Sent from my Moto E (4) Plus using Tapatalk
  20. It's a simple matter of weight ratios. A five ounce bird could not carry a one pound coconut. Sent from my Moto E (4) Plus using Tapatalk
  21. Sorry... I was on a conference call and typing too fast. Didn't mean to make it sound mysterious. Google sea turtle charters. Harbors at Westlake Marina in Montauk. I think he publishes fixed dates for dives. No scuba cert needed. I think he does mixed charters if you can't fill the boat with your party. More details are probably on his website or if you call him. Other charters I think do it, but I believe he may be the only one that focuses on it. Sent from my Moto E (4) Plus using Tapatalk
  22. Cage goes in the water, you go in the water. Shark's in the water. Our shark... No thanks. Seen too many up close and Jaws at too young an age. In other news, the first recorded predation of a seal of Montauk by a Great White was reported this winter. http://mobile.easthamptonstar.com/News/20181213/Shark-Hunt-Surf-Spot For any interested, I can provide a recommendation for cage diving off Montauk. 23. If fully cooked, I believe Prague #1 is fine. No additional cure is needed during hanging, you are just reducing the moisture content (assuming you are hanging in a cool dry place). Prague #2 has nitrates that will slowly turn to nitrites and be available to cure the meat as it hangs. Since additional curing isn't needed for cooked, I don't think it is necessary. I don't have chef in my name, though, so I tend to follow recipes pretty closely for whatever they advise [emoji3]. I think someone else asked about tender quick. I believe that it also has sugar added to it's mix and has nitrites in much lower concentration. It is not interchangeable at the same concentration with the Prague powders. 24. I was in Montauk in 86 when mundus pulled in his record white. That shark was unfathomably huge. This shark is over 1000 lbs bigger. I can't imagine seeing it in person. Sent from my Moto E (4) Plus using Tapatalk
  25. That kid is a stud. He is the one who won the event yesterday. I think he is only 20 or 21 years old. Barely made it out of the ring before he collapsed on his penultimate ride. Came out and road to win on last bull of the night. Sent from my Moto E (4) Plus using Tapatalk
