My nephew's deer(4u) had very few compared to last year. However I've had several crawling on me in the past week. Dogs have had several each day until I changed the tick control out for a new one.

Happy birthday.

She's fantastic. The dumacrats are making fools of themselves. I'm wondering what stunt they are going to pull once the committee votes to send it for a full Senate vote. That's when the last fiasco started.

Doing a final cut on all my clients lawns next week. Several want leaf cleanup, so those will get cut again as I vac up the leaves. I hate leaf cleanup. Cuts into my hunting time, and it hits during the rut.

I've seen that on some of my cams. Not sure, I think it's something falling. Leaf, acorn, ECT with a slower shutter speed?
-
I was thinking that same thing, but pics are deceiving.

My cousin shot a nice 18" 8 pt several years ago. Had to wait till morning to look. Found the same thing. Thing was picked clean. Was the easiest drag we ever had.

What a great thing to do. Prayers for him and his family.

Oh ya. Lots of bears around my house. My dumpster getting raided constantly, along with bear poop and prints next to the dumpster confirm. However 6 min away is my hunting area. In 30 yrs hunting the same farm, we've never seen a bear. Never seen sign. And with a thousand or so photos from trail cams, never a pic of a bear. Our first cams were film cams. Pull the roll of film and get it developed. Only had one of those as they were rather expensive. Lol

She looks like a good size doe. Congrats on his first deer.

This afternoon it was Tyler who connected. We were walking in, and when we got to the field, I spotted a 4pt feeding. Tyler had to sneak a few yrds to clear the hedge row, and used the bipod on his .270 to get a solid rest. 105 yrds. Deer went 10' and dropped. 122lb 4 pt. Couldn't smack that smile from his face. Tomorrow both Tyler and Dom get a lesson on processing deer.

I'd stick with what I'm using now. Rage.

We lost power for about 6 hrs. My brother was still out last night around 7:30. Lots of damage in our area.

Had a great day hunting. Dom and I had a nice 8 pt run by, then turn and follow the ridge 100 yrds out. He just couldn't find a opening he was comfortable with for a shot. Had a doe bed down 100 yrds out for a hr or so. This evening we hunted a field edge. Had 8 doe, fawn about 150 yrds out. Around 5:45 Dom spotted a deer 80yrds, behind the only tree in this field. It was a buck. After 20 minutes of this deer facing us, turning broadside, but behind limbs. Walking away, then turning around and coming back, Dom finally had a shot. Dropped in it tracks. Needed a second shot in the neck when we walked up to it as he spined it. Nice little 7 pt. Wow was he excited.

Would that fall under harassing a hunter while hunting?
-
Place corn 40 or so yards to the side of his stand( still on state land) then call DEC when he's there hunting.
-
Think a mod is going to have to help you out.
-
Definitely looks like it.

Dom and I had a nice 8 come running through, he stopped 125 yrds away, and turned and walked the ridge 100 yrds out, but just too thick for a shot.

Correct.... Grey or the bigger red fox have little to no affect on deer movement this time of year. However, I've seen red's sitting in a field barking excessively at a coyote that was chasing it. Most yotes either had a arrow through them, or a 7mm-08 when chasing the reds, if close enough.
-
Past few yrs we've been overrun with red fox. This yr none. There is a family of gray fox around.

The HNY family is strong.

Good luck to whoever is mentoring a youth this weekend. Post pictures of the lucky hunters. I'm taking two youths out.
-
I've got two of yours now, and I'm impressed with your work. Hopefully one of the two youths I'm taking out this weekend will connect and I can get another one to ya.

I dislike my fusion also. If the deer is moving at all, they are blurry. I just got 2 tactacam from Scheels. Ordered and had them in 3 days. Pics are so much better, and I get the pic in about 20-30 second after it taken.
