Wow I thought Indomethacin was no longer available. I used to take the generic indicin. Worked ok, but the colchicine works great for me. One side effect of colchicine. I dealt with sever gout for yrs. Toe, ankle, knees, elbows and wrist. It's debilitating. The weight of a bed sheet on your toe feels like someone is twisting it with pliers. Any movement of infected joint is painful. Alcohol, beer mainly, shell fish, and organ foods are to be avoided. I take allopurinol as a preventative, and coltracein if I get a attack. Like pygmy, several times over the yrs, I've had to take Prednisone as the attack was brutal. Good luck with getting it under control. Ask the doc for allopurinol as a daily pill to rid the body of excess uaric acid.
