  1. Lunch room had to be close to the kitchen. Lunch special tommorow.... venison... Lol
  2. Lawns are definitely slowing down. Mainly running the bagger to keep up with the leaves. With 26 clients, it's tuff keeping up with the leaves. By the end, I don't care if I never see another friggin leaf again.
  3. I love bear meat. Some of the best sausage I've ever made was bear sausage.
  4. That's fantastic. Congrats on the successful surgery and the bear.
  5. Mines been burning since about sunset. Checked the site and seen the campfire thread. Appreciate the invite, hopefully someday I can visit. Just know the invite extends both ways.
  6. It's kinda winding down... But I enjoyed every minute of it.
  7. That's fantastic. Post pics of the process.
  8. I would have gotten a different tire manufacturer in the same size. But only 1 tire, wouldn't care less if it didn't match.
  9. 518. You having it mounted? My cousins bull was 53" but the paddles aren't as wide as yours, but has long points. He's going for a European mount.
  10. My cousin was the sub on his wife's tag he's been putting in 20 yrs for both of them. He could get drawn next year for his own tag.
  11. That's awesome. Congrats on a fantastic bull.
  12. Nice buck... Congrats. I wouldn't have passed him on the first sit either.
  13. Damn right. It was an experience I'll never forget, and cherish forever. I've quartered many critters over the yrs, but this was the first time I have ever done one on the ground in a foot of water.
  14. After early success on the first afternoon with my cousins bull, we set out to get Colby one. Finally on Friday afternoon finally got on a bull. Took about a hr to get it to the edge of the swamp. It wasn't coming any closer. Colby made a fantastic first shot at 275 yrds, then both him and his father followed up with finishing shots. Unfortunately, he dropped in about a foot of water. Took us 6 hrs to quarter him and load it into canoes and get it back to the road. Our feet were numb from the cold water. First pic is the swamp from the road. Bull was off to the left out of sight, shot was taken from the point on the right. EST weight, 680.
  15. That's fantastic. We got bull #2 down Friday evening. Story and pics to come.
  16. Sorry, that 20# is my pay for traveling to Maine and helping get the moose out and to the butcher. Actually, I'm sure he'll offer me a lot more, but that's all I want.
  17. Ruger M77 all weather 30-06. According to the butcher, around 320lbs of boned meat is what it should yield.
  18. Another pic of him on my trailer.
  19. Thanks everyone. It weighed in at 801 lbs. Took us 3 hrs to rig up pulleys, ropes to the trucks and get him to the road. The blow downs and boulders slowed us down a lot. He took the first shot opportunity he had, and he wasn't coming any closer. We're still at it trying to get my buddies son a bull, but haven't seen or heard a thing. Getting back out shortly.
  20. My cousins wife was was lucky enough to draw a moose tag in zone 19. He was the sub. On our first afternoon, we called up this guy. It was incredible. We heard him grunting back at us a thrashing the brush as he came in. Alan dropped him at 70 yrds.
  21. Every crew I've been with has a guy that spots the driver. He looks for power lines, and other obstacles. Once my spotter didn't do his job because of a hot chick filling her gas tank in the Oriskany New York service station. I was driving a tri axle dump truck and even yelled to the guy to watch my clearance above the canopy covering the gas pumps. Well, the Daisy Dukes won. When raising the dump body, hit the canopy and quite a bit of damage to the canopy and the cab protector on the truck. Guess who go fired as I was only with the company for 3 months.....
  22. Me..... Every yr. It works. Use it...
  23. Does this mean I'll get a pass for dumping a few hundred pounds of corn, apple squeezing, and other deer attracting goodies?
  24. When I was 21, I seen a car pulling out of a driveway and her purse was on the roof. I turned around and found the purse on the side of the road. The top was open and there was a large sum of money inside. Caught up to her when she was turning around in the local post office. Turns out I went to school with her, and she had joined the army after school. She was on the way to the bank to deposit 13k.
