Was going to use xtps in sabots before trying to size some furys or Pittman's.

I've spoken to both recently, both are classy guys for sure. I might have just landed a omega action too !
-
Anyone doing any smokes builds, I think I am going to build one with an omega action and a brux barrel. I lost out on a 45/70 cva scout that was for sale here, that was going to get a make over to a .45 cal smoker ..

LL Bean Maine hunting boots if temps are above 30, my first pair lasted 20+ years ,pair two should last me another 20+ . If below 30 degree's it's field and stream 1000 gram rubber boots, think they swamp tracker 1000s they called. I know most dislike the llbean boots but I sure love them. Show me any other boot that can last that long , that must show something .

Wireless/Cell trail camera research/input needed
sbuff replied to J sin's topic in Trail Camera Pictures
I run from 6-8 cams Year long, as I said before they are outside all year long, six at camp in the tug hill range and two at the house . Spy point ,browning, moultrie and one wild game innovations is the herd .Bushnell burned me so I am not a fan. I've been debating if I am going cellular for the past few years. Obvious concern is reception and sprint doesn't work but Verizon does in spots at camp. Question can a Verizon cam transmit to say a phone with spectrum mobile ,sprint ,at and t or any other data carrier. Question two ,spy point sends X amount free per month, why would you go another route if you know your only getting ten pics a week . I see lots of guys running the moultrie external modem, has that system improved over previous versions. I said I won't strap anything more then a 150 dollar cam to a tree for fear of theft, will they ever come down that low in price. -
As a youth my uncle would have us shoot his 10ga NEF with 3.5slugs if we wanted to. Being teenaged cousins we all thought we were man enough, I recall one cousin falling back a good six feet to his rear end. That NEF with modified choke was dead on at 75yards . I've shot 600gr conicals in my white thunderbolt muzzloader as recent as the summer and recoil was moderate. A good stock and recoil pad does help absorb some shock.

Interesting.

Dick's Sporting Goods is taking a little dive

Frank is suppose to be moving to a bigger location . You should try Zack's across from round lake. I personally don't see field and stream going under, just the way it is -
As I understand it ,there is no open carry in NYS.
-
If your intended purpose is to use only a few times a year then it's a low budget entry-level way to get started muzzle loading. CVA,TC,and knight would be of better quality. Will it shoot a deer , yes all day long.

Ruger,Bear,moose, or Maggie .

As I said, I love Chevy, my 2002 2500HD with the big 8.1 liter has treated me well but I only have 50K miles on it. I had it undercoated the day I drove off the show room. It's stored in a heated garage and it doesn't get driven in winter. There's not a person around driving a 2002 Chevy that's rust free except me. There are tons of 02 Honda and Toyota's that are rust free. I just don't think Ford ,Chevy,or dodge can touch any Honda or Toyota for body and mechanical longevity.... My daily driver is a 1999 Honda accord with 135K that is just starting to show rust on the wheel well.. I'll take the wardens 11 pilot and she'll get a new one come spring.

Last year he had drop tines...
-
160 ish,he was on the down hill slide.
-
That's my family's deer on top, so impressive
-
I'm a Chevy go through and true, but if it's longevity you want you can't beat the Honda or Toyota's...our 2011 pilot has 85K on it nothing but breaks and oil change to date. I think I did tranny fluid at 50K but I'd have to confirm. We will be in the market in the spring, the Tahoe has been mentioned but it's behind the pilot,4runner and now the VW Atlas .again we look at longevity, if it was to be owned and sold before 100K then I'd go Tahoe.

I'll add one more thing, buy from a local authorized dealer, they'll go the extra mile before and after the sale. Snow blower direct is good to view but I'd never buy a snow blower on line .

I have a 2014 ariens deluxe 28 with the LCT 254CC. engine which would equal an 8hp engine. LCT took over after Tecumseh. Some don't like the lct and say it lacks the balls but I have yet to have an end of driveway pile that it can't handle.I live on a cul de sac so my driveway gets the whole street placed in front of it. Some say the auto turn isn't good but mine is a dream to use and turn. I change the oil twice a year at the start and end of the season with 5/30 synthetic. It's cheap piece of mind. Unless you buy a Honda you won't be upset

Heads up midway USA has the 300 gr deep curls, $16.99 per 50, and free shipping over $49.. Possibly one of the best bullets for muzzle loaders paired with a harvester or MMP sabot you won't be disappointed

I'd be cautious as to how much you invest in that poulan, for a few bucks more you can get a more quality saw. I've got stihl saws, a 170,039 and a 441 all get used and work flawlessly.

Knife Sharpening ?
sbuff replied to UpStateRedNeck's topic in Hunting Gear Reviews and Gear Discussions
This works great for my hunting knife and kitchen knifes. I keep one in my pack at all times . https://www.amazon.com/Smiths-PP1-Pocket-Multifunction-Sharpener/dp/B000O8OTNC/ref=mp_s_a_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1545050075&sr=8-3&pi=AC_SX236_SY340_FMwebp_QL65&keywords=smith's+knife+sharpener -
Air fryer was her hot item on the list . It actually looks pretty cool.

It's a shame they stopped making the NEF huntsman, side kick and heritage line of muzzloaders . Those green mountain barrels are tack drivers with just about anything you shove down the barrel. I have a SS Heritage with a upgraded Hubbard's ram rod and metrics unlimited breech plug which allows one to shoot BH209 reliably. I don't leave a charge in it past the season for fear of corrosion if using black powder. Which NEF are you shooting ?

X2, ditch the pellets and power belts
