  1. If it were me I'd go BH209 and a .452 300 grain non Mag hornady xtp in a crush rib sabot. You will never look at black powder the same.
  2. Always good to have a back up, do you have his specifics?
  3. Ray Keller 62 Beach Rd Clifton Park 518-371-7968 I've used him plenty of time, does a nice job.
  4. We burned wood as a youth when I was younger. My dad would hope to wait to the opening of bow which was the middle of October back then. We had no splitter except an ax and a maul. All summer long we split and split to stay a year ahead of schedule. If I recall burned 10 fulls cords a year on average . Now we both have gas fireplaces, it's just a click of a remote to turn on heat . I couldn't be happier. I give credit to all who burn wood, lots of work that my body just can't do. Let alone the time to do it with having kids in sports.
  5. If your using sabots the hornady SST , XTP , and FTX in 250 or 300 grain in a harvester crush rib sabot will shoot and perform great . Buying bullets in bulk and sabot separate is far more economical then pre packages. If you want a premium bullet the Barnes line or Thor bullets can't be beat. If your using a conical I'm a huge fan of the hornady FPB in 350 grain, no sabot needed with these. In my white I use a 460 grain bull shops bullet sized to 504.5. No excuses make the same bullet in 460grain nothing like a big chunk of lead hitting a deer. Power belts are surely accurate, but they fragment oh to often for me.
  6. Nice shooting but man I am not a power belt fan. I've tested lots of bullets for penetration and that one is rock bottom. I use the muzzloader during gun season, if I don't use my TC X7 I'll use my white thunderbolt. I switch from triple 7 pellets and black horn 209 just depends which I'm in the mood for . Guys are getting rifle accuracy out to 200 yards with today's inlines.
  7. Man I've seen alot worst on here that was let slide .. Good luck on the sale
  8. Is there a strong enough signal to send the photo ?
  9. I have the 2015 version in sage green, 100% trouble free. For the price it can't be beat .
  10. Battery life was and is my concern, your results could sway me either way. Keep me posted. Be nice to see that Buck mounted on a wall !!
  11. Looks to be a big one for sure, how is battery life been treating you on that evo. I've been eyeing it myself for around 225.00 then a few discounts I can get for under 200
  12. We just got home from a week in Old Orchard beach, kids had a blast and we all saw our first whale. I was a little dissapointed with a couple gun ratings at kittery trading post. They listed condition at 95% I'd rate it at best 75%. Needless to say I didn't buy them.
  13. 68 bucks for a refurbished cam,I might have opted for a new one at a sale price. Good luck with it, I run 6-8 cams Year round it's nice to see what is out there. As others have said the trade in of an old non working cam is a good deal so hold on to it if it dies. I run mostly browning and spy point but this cheap cam has impressed me https://m.dickssportinggoods.com/p/wildgame-innovations-vision-extreme-trail-camera-package-14mp-17wgiuvsnxtrm14mptch/17wgiuvsnxtrm14mptch Steve
  14. Well no wool but I do wear llbean Maine hunting boots ,they are the taller ones I think it's 14in high. My first paired lasted more then 20 years and resoled a time or two. My new pair is now on year two or three, the leather of yester Year was better then leather of today I will say. They are warm with wool sock to 25-30 degrees if I'm sitting.
  15. I have shot them too out of my muzzle loader but much slower speeds. I bought the 7.62X39 hornady black to try out in my ruger mini 30. Will see how accuracy is but I'll most likely use the cor lok come hunting season.
  16. Does anyone prefer the hornady sst bullet over the Remington cor lok for terminal performance?
  17. Didn't get 6K but got 4J
  18. I'd even add a cabelas brand scope to my list, I have one and for the 90 bucks I spent the glass is very impressive.
  19. All the big names are good, Nikon,Leopold, weaver, vortex,Bushnell but more importantly look at your eye relief. 3.5 would be minimum for me if I were in a scope market...
  20. It came in today's mail !! Has anyone send them your email address for changes in regulations or updates ?
  21. Let’s focus on the topic boys, so how do you like the stealth cam.. I too may trade in a few, in years past they do different brands every couple weeks Steve
  22. If grampy doesn't take them I will. Let me know
  23. This is killing me, are you lefty or shoot right handed. Steve
