not gonna shoot that one again - it also shaved off some of the arrow shaft. lol. Gonna shoot a couple with field points.... then pull arrows ....... and shoot with practice BH a couple of times to see if they are all ten ringers...... Then kill deer!

Ok guys thanks for the help! Moved the nock point down to almost 90 degrees. Pro shop set it with a drop but it seemed to be too much. Took half dozen shots on my lunch and have to tweek it later. I premoved my sight up knowing I was prob gonna shoot high. But long and short of it I would say it is on. The first shot on target was field point the next is practice broadhead. Broke the nock and tore off a fletch so am thinking they are now shooting the same . After work gonna dial everything back in for pin distances. And I have to rotate peep a little cause string is in the way. And be sure not to shoot for same spot! But thanks guys looks like prob solved.

cool story and nice buck! i had one we named - Dark Knight- never once saw him or got a pic of him in the daylight. But had pics of him every season for a few years til last year. Always wondered if another hunter got him or age etc. Would have loved to see him in the stand.

Dont think you can go wrong with any of those. My favorite time of year is about Nov 3-7th. Usually see a lot of chasing but got my biggest buck ever two days before the end of bow.

I have that same issue and pray for corn every year. I generally hunt them only in the afternoon cause the deer busted me in the fields all the time in the am. Come in the dark and get blown at. Come in the light and get seen. If you can find a way to come in at the far corner of the field from behind along the treeline great . Otherwise your gonna need to be beamed in Scotty or take the chance of being busted or only hunt afternoons. Although any am's I would hunt I would wait til it was light enough to glass the field and if no deer go for it

The funny thing is two years ago I downed two early does and then never filled the buck tag! Lol But it was a fun season cause I passed on a few small bucks and got within 70 yards of a big 9, 50 yards of a nice 8 and rattled in a 7 point ( first time ever rattling one in). It was a great season. Hope you are right. The tough one is the 5 point that stands in front of me on Oct 12th! He quickly becomes a shooter!

#1 goal is always one for the freezer. But as usual am hoping to take an early doe for that and then hunt for a buck. Would really like my hunting buddy to get one with the bow this season. It's been about 4 years since he's tagged with bow. He got one for the first time ever with a gun last season. Other goals are to get about 10 pounds of Rueben dogs and 10 pounds of blueberry sausage from Constanzas besides what I am gonna make. So hopefully will tag one with the bow cause I didn't score til xbow last season. First time in a while I didn't get one with the bow. The difference this year is I am not taking really any early season hunting time except for weekends. Every year I go early and it is too hot and wish I had just saved my time. Other difference is my approach that less is more. By not going so much early am hoping my stands won't be burned out. Last year the hot stand I didn't hunt til xbow and three sits -3 deer. Still have stands to trim, 2 to move and am hoping the lease landowner cuts trails this weekend or I am buying a brush hog next week. Which I need to have anyway. The most exciting is that the stand where I shot my best buck and saw another one that was bigger has corn around it again. That seemed to be the winning combo! And moved my best gun stand just about 30 yards and I like the setup even better and am looking forward to sitting there the gun opener. Unless I have already tagged a couple then will have one of my buddies in it. Had one there last year and he tagged a doe for his first gun deer. But am def looking forward to it!

Done in Jan! Planned hunting days- Oct 1, 24,25,31, Nov 1,5,6,7,12,13,14 all for bow/xbow not counting weekends . Then weekends and holidays for gun season. Bring it.

Moved D loop down last night for a lower knock point. DIdnt get to shoot as it was storming and need to go to my buddies house with woods behind since i made this adj to be safe. Dont want to shoot one through the neighbors pool liner like Moog said. So hoping this adj works out and if it doesnt I have someone to blame if I miss a deer this season! lol

Whoa.... Need to name this boy " Norwood" cause not even he could miss putting one through there he's so wide. Damn nice buck!
