Have seen most leases around here for about $14 an acre. But me and another guy pay $350 each so $700 for 120 acres. It's a great deal but I also know the guy and he knows he can trust me. And it's not prime farmland and very hard to hunt it but it works out for all of us. It's exactly 6 minutes from my house too.

Fish fry! Oneida lake eyes and perch. Made fish tacos and some fresh zucchini to go with it. This jalapeno and lime sauce was great on them

Busy day today outdoors. Struck out hard on the lake. Talked to multiple boats all the same. Trolling drifting etc. Zippo. Yesterday one boat said they killed em. They had 6 boards running today and couldn't get a hit. So put up cams . Good news ... Where I got all three of my deer lat year in three sits is corn again!!! I swear two weeks ago it was like 18 inches now it's past my waist. Put three cams up in my 6S spot. Lease on 7F. Not so good of news. Guy hasn't cut it even once and if its not cut it's about unhuntable. Am sure he will get to it but is way behind. Can't even move a stand til it's cut. Brush etc in trails is up to my neck. Def gonna end up getting a brush hog for my buddy's 4 wheeler. But I did kick up a velvet bedded buck ...4,5,6 point . But can't even tell where trails are. About three out of our 9 stands are bow huntable. Found 3 spots to put cams where grass was at least a little lower but not where I really want them . Pics of 6S and looking good there!

Take that damn lawn! That ought to take me the rest of the summer to clean up. Still fishing in the morning too!

its a sign Jay! since you took up the bow last year and now have a bow only hunting area. I also have a 12 acre spot that i can bow hunt only. And they said -dont know if you wil have any luck but can sure hunt it. First sit ! Big Doe Down!

Moog stick to your strengths! Golfers get shaken when you play a little defense. Blindside a couple of people before they drive and i guarantee that their game suffers. there is also the alcohol route. Drunk by the turn and then no one cares! or you can tell them you hate losing and tip over a golf cart. Thats at least a +22 handicap in your favor.

If i remember you had double does in like the first two days of season last year? Nice to fill the freezer early and then look for a buck! Its what i always try to do. Last season didnt tag a deer though til crossbow season.

did mine online and the printout after said "selected" for doe tags . I was assuming i got them - am hoping so. Either that or it just meant i selected them? But it also had me at 0 preference points so I am thinking that means i got them.

Def cow Massage. And yeah I will admit it was pretty good. I like me some salad even without meat. I usually eat salad couple times a week and lettuce on wraps for lunch. Hell I even order a salad out on occasion. But def more of a T Rex most of the time. Lol

i used to have a garden and the year i was dumping wheelbarrows of tomatoes because of that i bagged it. They were coming in on 8 plants so much the plants were pulling the stakes out of the ground. and then as soon as they rippened they were rotten. Spinach was awesome that year. I miss some things about the garden but not the time involved. My Dad had 5 gardens when i was a kid. Being a chef he was into it. We ate swisschard with every meal for the summer!

get that time off request in!! I have to take the opener off or i just pace and bitch at work all day I am taking very little early season time off this year except for opening day. Too many years of sitting in a stand on a hot day to see nothing i finally learned my lesson. But once about Oct 24th hits...its on. Never work more than 2-3 days a week for the rest of season. Am putting the WNYer's work schedule in play!
