The blue fox spinners are great. Use perchy looking colors. You will get some. Find weed edges and bays. The main river and rocks usually not the best spots but weedy off the main river usually is. Little tip when the bait is about 3/4 of the way back increase your speed for the last way and it will often trigger strikes from followers. A six inch steel leader is a good idea. Too rough out on the lake so the day off was spent working on the land. Put the waders on and opened up one of the drains more. Then went and moved a stand to a new spot with Corey. We got it set for season now, can see both ways on the trail here. There is a spot they make scrapes just a few yards away. All stands are in there spots for the year will just have to trim them all and change straps. This new one we had to do a lot of cutting for shooting Lanes but hopefully its worth it this fall. My fav buzz is a strike king mini buzz. Don't need to run a trailer kook on it as it's a smaller buzzbait. But I will usually put a 2 inch curly tail on it for a little more action and bulk. I am not a fan of the trailer hook cause I usually just end up hooking more weeds with it. You will miss more fish on topwater always but it's a blast. I always have another pole ready with a small senko to throw at missed strikes. Spinner baits I'm a big fan of the willow leaf and I like the mini king's. And i replace the Colorado with a willow leaf as it comes thru thick weeds better. X3 on a frog in the pads. Also consider a speed worm or a speed craw esp if really weedy. there was a training/conference about electric buses in the area recently. Due to the new legis of having zero emission buses for schools. They each need their own charging bank so a district with 70 buses will basically be sub power station. lol and the best part was they brought out some electric buses to demonstrate them. They all had to be towed back cause they ran out of juice. -

Oil is at $120 a barrel and forecast is for it to possibly get to $160. At $150 it is also thought we will be in full recession. Oil goes up everything goes up. The economy is a mess and then some.
