  1. Looks like a fun day. I used to do at least a few of those every year. Had a nice circuit of them at Trenton fish and game and Oriskany Falls etc. Like doing dif courses. Always missed a dang caribou it seemed. Theyd make it a long shot and it's a big target and looks closer. Stopped doin them cause all I practice with now is practice broadheads. Field points and the broadheads I now shoot are different for shooting. But I like the grim reapers and the practice heads they give are a big help to dial in the bow.
  2. I can almost taste that. Looks great. Might have to copy that soon.
  3. Gotta have a good size cup! Got a Keurig but they give ya such a little cup of coffee- bah.
  4. Mushroom and little smokies cheddar omelette and venison sage sausage
  5. Just went and filled propane tanks for backup heaters and got closing paperwork from office just in case. Forwarded calls at office to cell. Blizzard warning here in oneida county. Charged up phone and lanterns. Power is for sure gonna go out.
  6. Yup made it this year with some help of folks on here. Brined and corned it then put in the smoker. I like how it came out. Was also good with taters as hash with eggs. Think recipe was in a venison roast thread. Johnplav, Crappyice and some others advice. Thanks folks.
  7. Damn good sammich. And some nachos with mighty taco to boot.
  8. Always gets me some how. But it gives me time to get ready and make it count. Gonna try these new rigs for slow trolling with braid for walleyes with crawler harnesses. Worked great last year but mono kept getting twisted and love the better feel with braid. Switched over to braid and a couple of baitcasters late season last year, but my baitcasters were 10+ years old and needed some updating for sure. Spring is coming..... Also adding a front depth finder to the trolling motor . Best way of catching them last year was to have two lines out with crawler harnesses and have the trolling motor on low. Couple of times had one on each pole. Looking forward to open water again.
  9. Right and he did say "ish" I'm glad u guys are after yotes and not terrorists. Lol. Gotta imagine you both have a hell of a lot of fun.
  10. Better throw in a rangefinder Moog.... That way 240 doesn't look like 150 as much either for your guide and spotter.
  11. i dont have electric heat but without power no furnace. I bought a couple of buddy heaters like ice fisherman use and that has sure saved me a few times. esp when my furnace froze when it was -18. Dont have a generator but thinking about getting one. Just certainly a large expense. I do have a portable generator to use but it wont run the furnace.
  12. yeah i was watching this too Jay. Pretty much assured my power will be out. Im on the very east end of Oneida lake and that wind sure builds bad across 20 miles of open water. It sounds like a freight train outside when its like that. Almost have to yell when youre out there. Good luck and stay safe to all.
  13. i wouldnt feel too bad for him - his jab is just as good as Holyfield's. Pretty sure it only went 10 rounds cause he wanted it to.
  14. me too, that both are fake. - you know that didnt really happen right.....
  15. Well since you me and biz have never seen it I would call for a GTG to go see it. But you and Biz would ditch me and with my luck it would be stormys time of the month again and I would be stuck with him. Lol.
  16. i feel like i am the only person on the planet thats never seen this movie.......
  17. still drooling over your steak and bacon sandwich from yesterday - but gotta ask - Loganberry? juice? soda ? nope never had it.
  18. that dog is adorable! Love goldens . A friend of mine used to raise some on the side - always loved going to see the pups.
  19. Yeah thats just awful what happened. He prob never saw him on the highway. Tough all around.
  20. you surely dont need to apologize for anything you have ever said here. Nothing but a good guy!
  21. when a deer gets shot from a hunter its prob one of the easiest way a deer dies. Figure either sickness, starvation, injury, freezing or if its weak - eaten by predators. Not thinking many die of old age or easily. Thats def tough to see cause that had to be slow and painful. I saw three yotes one time chasing a doe - at 125 yards and when i had a bow. I watched them chase her alonmg the edge of a field then into the woods. Im sure they operate like wolves - run them ragged and keep biting at them as a pack , eventually its too much.
  22. I looked up how far and the 4hrs and 27 minutes one way is a bit much on a Monday - but yeah this seems to be epic!
