    Just watched weather. Long term forecast was for higher than normal temps in November for the northeast. Indian summer maybe.

    Every dude is in to something. We just happen to spend it on deer hunting. Some guys are into cars , snowmachines, biking, antiques etc.

    Welcome aboard. I hunt the area on the border of Madison and Oneida counties mostly. Can tell you scrapes are getting active and have seen a rub. I hunt 7F, 6S and 7J. Good luck.

    No. Not that hungry. Ever. I know hotdogs and chicken nuggets come from bad places..... But still not eating yote as long as there is a Walmart.

    Indian lake tried several times to get a cell tower in the area and the companies didn't want to spend the money as not enough people. Same reason for no cable. Only tourists for a few months a year not a good enough investment. Recently they have service now I think there is a tower in speculator.

    Wow anybody that goes out in this. Maybe better where u are but I am under the red! Just downpours and 38 degrees. No way. Not sure I would walk in the woods to all you can eat wings at Hooters in this!

    I guess I look at it this way. I am gonna keep clothes separate for hunting and keep them as scent free as possible. So why would I not buy camo? So yes head to toe camo.

    Yeah I could've went put for an hour and a half and am missing it this morn. But also worry bout the blood trail. But yeah the radar even says it's supposed to be raining here and it isn't. But it sure looks like it will soon. Forecast is for 1.5 of rain. Course they might have botched that too.

    Getting a bit bummed. Only 3 bow hunting days left for me. Been a long time since something didn't fall to the bow. Yes xbow have lots of time off, but would like to get that bow tag with a bow. Have seen less deer this year than I can remember. Saw the first buck of the year yesterday but not while I was in a stand although it was a stomper. Hoping for one opportunity in those three days. And a doe would be fine. Then rut with the crossbow will work. Had the freezer filled by this time last year. These crappy weekend rainouts and wind aren't helping

    Today is def a washout day here. Good luck and hang onto that tree if anyone is out today. Reset and get after it tomorrow. I only have 3 bow hunts left. Then xbow but want to get one with the bow first. Way behind schedule this year

    They always do. Lol. I even rigged up a big ratchet this year cause I had to bring one out of a gully last year in the dark. Getting too old for that. Good luck.

    Just wasnt meant to be tonite. Went out to a spot where I have a stand on the edge of a field and only hunted it once this year. It's 40 minutes away and a very small spot. Well I get there and it is full of cattle. They forgot to tell me they have cattle out there for a bit So I drive to a spot that is close to a house but far enough and just jump in there quick . It used to be a horse field but they got rid of horses. So owner gets home and decides to mow....... So I move to a stand just down the property on the other side and now it's 5:15. See nothing. If not pouring in morn might try but prob not. Didn't see a thing in stand all day on a perfect weather day. But this morn seeing that monster buck when I pulled in to hunt made it good day.

    I have been chasing one the last two years as well but haven't got a pic of him this year. I would say your in the right area. But only hunt it with the right wind and be careful of your scent. Maybe pick a day when you can get in quiet. He's big and old cause he's smart. Your in his area definitely, just right time hasn't happened. Maybe an all day sit in the rut esp if you usually have a lot of does.

    Sounds like my exact morning. Couldn't dial up a better weather day. Didn't see a thing in the stand. Two nice scrapes within 30 yards of each side of the stand i was in. Sure was hopeful But 100 yards from where I park saw a deer in a little field. I snuck behind the barn to check it out he saw me as soon as I popped my head out. Course I was parked right there. Looked like a nice 10 point! He tailed and loped off into the woods. I boogied up to my stand hoping he was going that way. No luck I am putting a stand up there on Sunday. Been wanting to put one there but they have had horses I there. No horses now. So one is going up Sunday between raindrops and then hunting it on Wed. Dunno if he will come thru again but worth a shot. And there ought to be some does thru there as it's the backside of a cornfield and some apple trees . There is a tiny Grove of pines there so gonna throw a stand in those.

    Monster buck in field 100 yards from where I park. Hope he circles by the stand. No chance where he was at this morn
