  1. The reason i dont buy grapes or eat at a buffet ever. Was at the store recently and a couple in sweatpants was basically standing there freegrazing grapes. Also LAST buffet i ever went to, watched a guy scrape off what he didnt eat back into the pan.....nope.
  2. no it ejects without hitting, no prob. But mine is an AE (first year they came out with it) - angle eject. I dont have the hammer extension but have certainly considered it. There is enough room but it is tight. If i was wearing gloves it would def be a problem. I should prob get one.
  3. between that and killing Buckle you must be a popular fella, dont let the lack of invites to BBQ's tell you different! and thanks for the earworm of that song! lol
  4. i so agree. I didnt put one on it for soo long cause i hated how it looked, but my eyes tell me i need one. I actually also have a 2.5 power scope that i have taken on and off the rifle and may put it back on again. I really only use this rifle for still hunts up north which i do maybe once a year, or maybe one carry all of southern gun.
  5. My hunting buddys younger brother when he was about 10, once had brook trout heads in his pants that he threw in the dryer cause they were wet. Why the brook trout heads were in his pocket ......i didnt ask, but his Mom was not happy!
  6. thats prob what i will do, not like i get a lot of chances during muzzle. Might throw them in my range bag in case i need to resight in and can use them up. I was so worried when i found i did this that i wouldnt find them all in the dryer but was able to.
  7. Im guessing they are still fine.... and not my brightest moment..... but i sent my muzzleloader caps (209s) thru the dryer. No they didnt go off and yes i found them all. pro tip here - probably not a great idea. Im thinking they are fine but havent shot one to check yet. There were 5 of them in a holder that I left in my pants pocket.
  8. i have one scoped and it works great! I put a fixed 4x bushnell banner on it.
  9. With a gracious invite from Lomax, got out to hunt in the buckform with him. We didn't tag any deer but had a good time BSing for sure. Even seen some deer but didn't send it, a little far for the muzzleloader. Good day to get out and enjoy a late season hunt and catch up.
  10. Happy Birthday and Merry Christmas all in one! Hope its a great day. @wolc123
  11. I've been invited to a few of these leagues but winter is long days for me at work. Get up at 4:15am I am just done by the time work is over and then drive in the snow doesn't sound like fun. But I have done a bunch of 3D shoots and they were fun. I actually found I was shooting too much. Dunno if that makes sense but it seemed like I got in my own head and tweaked the bow over and over. Now I take it out in August. Then try to shoot 5-10 arrows a week til season. And I feel even more confident this way. Plus it's yet another hobby I don't need lol. Said that about duck hunting too but here we go next season!
  12. When I went to Florida same thing. Went on a charter for grouper. Caught one small one and a couple other small fish. Went off the beach after sunset and had a blast. Caught whiting as fast as you could bait up. Then went to a couple of other spots during the day and caught sea trout.
  13. Weird not to hunt on a day off. Breakfast it is.
  14. Dodge is no longer making the grand caravan. And last I was told the Chrysler cannot be ordered new as they are not in production. Can't even get prices right now. We are waiting to get 5 at work. The Ford Transit is all rear wheel drive except for the smallest model and they have no space in them . Also the transits are not in production. We have a few at work and they drive great but are rear wheel and not the best in the snow. Tough out there to find a new van. If your looking for used we have had good luck with the grand caravan , but do see some tranny issues with them at times. The Ford econoline is no longer in production and have a lot of front end issues. Have heard good things about the Honda's but haven't driven one and they are more expensive. Passenger vans have kinda been pushed aside as people are leaning more to SUV's cause you can get 4 wheel drive and still have lots of room. Not much out there on the lots available new or used. I would say have her drive those if you can find them and decide what she likes best then search for that model. Will probably get a good amount for a trade in but that's because there is nothing out there and prices are high. Def worth a look around cause it isn't impossible to find something but our biggest dealership in our area that usually has 300 vehicles on the lot might have 30 including used.

  19. a wrapup for the 2021 season... good year of fishing. Caught a good bunch of walleye for the freezer. Not as good as last season but never saw a year like it last year. Got to fish with a bunch of folks on this site as well which was awesome. Was able to put a deer in the freezer. Passed on a few does, had some nice bucks in sight but could never get a good shot at one during bow season. Gun about the same as usual. Saw a couple of does early then nothing for most of the season. Buddy Corey also has meat in the freezer as he also tagged! Only having my spot in 7F this year and no longer hunting spot in 6S, i was wondering how it would go. It turned out to be a very good season. During bow saw deer almost every time out. Gun not so much but that was expected. Very happy to have a brush hog now for the trails and had a learning experience in food plotting. Sooooo much rain ruined one and the other was eaten to the ground by deer season. The frost seeding of clover took very well in some spots that didnt get flooded out too much. Saw more does than ever on our spot. Lots of buck pics in season and some good ones but just didnt get the oppurtunity. Had a few days off cancelled due to issues at work but for the most part it was a good season. Might get out once more - most likely on Jan 1. Next years to do list is already a strong one. We jot these down through the season as the ideas come to us. Cant wait to get started. Hopefully a couple of the nice bucks we have on cam are around to chase next season too. 2022 Hunting prep plans Food Plots - CSS – do whole corner on the trail that goes by the stand – secret spot mix (2) - Littlefield – Mix of bowstand and shot plot - Wayback – do same area and also trail from there towards point a ways.
