  1. In 1c for an afternoon sit. Warm and muggy with S wind at 10+ and supposed to get stronger gusts. So0o only 10' off the ground. Hoping deer move ahead of this front. Sent from my SM-G970U using Tapatalk
  2. Same location? If so, maybe change it up. If not, better luck next time. It happens. Sent from my SM-G970U using Tapatalk
  3. Happy Birthday! Sent from my SM-G970U using Tapatalk
  4. Get well soon! Sent from my SM-G970U using Tapatalk
  5. 2 does and 2 fawns, good to see deer on their feet. Sent from my SM-G970U using Tapatalk
  6. Right species, wrong gender....pass.... for this PM anyway. Sent from my SM-G970U using Tapatalk
  7. I'm in 1c for a quick sit this PM. Found some fresh sign but can only stay until 5 ish ....still happy to be able to get out in the woods. Let's hope deer move early. Sent from my SM-G970U using Tapatalk
  8. Bow. Sent from my SM-G970U using Tapatalk
  9. That' what I should have done!....but no, here I am up a tree, parched in this heat. No bueno. Sent from my SM-G970U using Tapatalk
  10. Sunny and 70's, but I am on evening watch anyway. Saw cars at a few other hunting spots, so I'm not the only one out in this heat. Light breeze helps. First sit. Forgot my compass, but I'm on familiar groud and only 300 yds from the truck, so should be ok. [emoji38] Sent from my SM-G970U using Tapatalk
  11. Sorry for your loss. Sent from my SM-G970U using Tapatalk
  12. Have you had any experienced archers watch you and give you pointers? Perhaps meet up with some of the folks on this forum for practice and observation. The main things are form and consistency. Start close to the target and with light poundage and focus on form and consistency. Only after the arrows are gouping consistently should you mess with the sight. If you were closer I'd offer to watch you practice and see if I could help. Sent from my SM-G970U using Tapatalk
  13. I'll be at work, but will be checking the forum from time to time and cheering for all who are out. Opener for me will probably be Saturday PM after grandkid's soccer game. Sent from my SM-G970U using Tapatalk
  14. Good luck Grampy! Sent from my SM-G970U using Tapatalk
  15. Also, I attached the straps so I carry the Summit upside down. I find it more comfortable and does not snag on stuff that way. Sent from my SM-G970U using Tapatalk
  16. I replaced the straps with backpack straps, replaced the seat with a hazmore mesh seat and replaced the cords with 3rd hand stabilizer straps. Works for me. Sent from my SM-G970U using Tapatalk
  17. You can buy Suffolk County permits. They should be available next week and I would recommend getting one. I hunt Gordon Heights and lots of other spots. Gordon heights is not the best area, but I haven't experienced any issues. Sent from my SM-G970U using Tapatalk
  18. Congrats. I also own an Avalanche with the 5.3. I like the way the suspension rides. Sent from my SM-G970U using Tapatalk
  19. Happy Birthday guys! Sent from my SM-G970U using Tapatalk
  20. I took several does over the years and 2 does last year, so it is not like I have a problem with taking does. But I pass on does with young fawns. I am not ruling out hunting this early season, but it I'm not excited about the prospect. Now, if a chance at a buck in velvet was on the cards, that would be different. 21. I am way behind on my bow practice. I usually practice a bit throughout summer and ramp up in August & September. Will have to step it up from now to 9/30. Sent from my SM-G970U using Tapatalk
  22. Congrats! Sent from my SM-G970U using Tapatalk
  23. Congrats Biz! I am sure your house will sell fast. The market is crazy. I lived in CT in the 1990s. Back then a concealed carry license was relatively straightforward to get, but that likely changed since Sandyhook. Sent from my SM-G970U using Tapatalk
  24. Good on you Moog. Stay strong T! Best wishes! I just noticed I was wearing a bit of my lunch on my shirt....oh well, that's what the washing machine is for. Sent from my SM-G970U using Tapatalk
  25. Congrats to your daughter! Sent from my SM-G970U using Tapatalk
