Their's a line of storms, gusty winds, and heavy rain, preceding the strong cold front, just entering N.Y.. Could be strong. Be safe! Update: Just was posted Severe Thunder Storm Warning for the Western counties.

    Some of the farmers are down in hay production as much as 20% here, due to the army worm and drought. They have planted sudan grass just to catch up, myself included They say hay is going to be dear this year , way up in price. Beef is going to take a steep hike.

    Nice to have left over deer meat this time of year. You don't realize how much u rely on the meat until a lean year pops up. Then u really miss it.

    Peterson Bowhunting magazine is a good one. Still have all my copies from years ago and chucked full of usefull info. Bow and Bowhunting magazine was good too, but they turned me off when they sent me a cheap video and belt buckle without my request. Then they sent me a bill for some inflated amount wanting me to buy or send it back. I kept the stuff and never renwed the subscription again. What nerve.

    Got a hind quarter that's all boned out and going into sausage. Once that happens, it won't last long. Don't have time to make sausage during deer season. Grow, need to have a forum party, lol.

    No doubt, this is going to help, but to late for the farming crops. Might help the 4th cutting alfalfa. My hay fields have already greened right up. Lawn looks green this morning too. Flock of turkeys were enjoying the bugs last. Had a lot of standing water last, but is gone now.

    Have a neighbor on the other farm, faithfully rides his ATV down his lane,opening morning, about sunrise, bumping the deer over to us. Never fails, just like clock work. Combining corn moves the deer around, but not what one might expect. Many times, have had deer riding ahead of the snapping rolls. Also have seen deer, few rows over, riding by them. Harvesting equipment and tractors, they seem to tolerate more.

    Still raining, have a whooping 2 1/10 inches. Hope everyone else got or will get some tonight.

    Well, just looked at the rain gauge. Since 3 p.m., 1 8/10 inches and still raining. Glad I planted wheat and turnips yesterday. Will help the oats which were planted week ago, just coming up- Somehow? Do have some standing water.

    U must have got the storm that went south of us at 2:30p.m.. Getting heavy rain fall with thunder and lightning. Started a little after 3. Poor drainage flooding. Wow, is it coming down.

    Yeh, taking the tags off mattresses will get u time, lol. Now there's one that don't make sense. Would think it's more important to check for fraying stitches and damage to the webbing. The videos that come with the stands all go into that. They also tell u not to leave a tree stand out for more than 2 weeks, know who does that?

    Well bubba, I'll give it a try then. What is the reason for not wiping the barrel between shots with BH209? Too much dampness left in the barrel?
