    The problem with untreated olive wood is it can get dirty very easily under use. I also have had some olive wood scales crack from manufactures that didn't stablized the scales correctly. I'd like to use more olive wood on some of my blanks, being so cheap, I use the hickories and oaks available.

    I have used the insulation spray foam from a hardware store. Their are some good videos on YouTube about this method.

    Been reading information about the SARS- Covid antibody tests that are available in some other states ( Texas) . These tests are not FDA. approved and can give false readings. Can anyone for sure say, these New York antibody tests are FDA. approved?

    My 20 ga. don't pattern right, fact it never did out of the box, no matter what shell or choke I use. I like the weight of the 12 ga. anyways , as it feels like I have a real weapon in my mitts. It"s pattern is perfect for my liking. I figure the more shot coming out of the barrel, the better chance I have of holding up a bird.

    I think about the nearly 40,000 families that have lost loved ones due to SARS. - Covid 19 viruses. I think of the 100 of thousands of first responders, doctors, nurses, and health care workers that are putting their lives on the line, so we all will have a better life and fight this invisable enemy. I don't have any gains in times like these; just thankful and dam happy to have my family wake up healthy every morning.

    One must remember modern day governments have never ever had to handle this type of plaque in " recent times ." I'm sure what ever party you want to blame, researched the 1918 Spanish Flue outbreak. In many ways, this is similar. Now is not the time to pin blame on anyone. Rather, use you efforts and skills , donate you time, or any other effort that will help the population get through this darkest of times in humanity.

    Thank you for the response. Shady, If I remember correctly, it was quite dark where they were growing. Thus the barn usage. The whole subject is near blank to me, but draws my intrest. Would be great to harvest my own mushrooms. Can you lead me into a correct informational Youtube video?

    I remember an old mushroom farm on Rt, 5 towards Batavia back in the early 70's. They were growing them inside an old barn on tables. We would stop and watch them cut them off to fill our order. Is this how your growing them?

    It's not like that, even in Texas, which has one of the more relaxed gun laws in the U.S.. Your life is over in New York, if you were to carry out that senario.

    Once ventilators. PPE., leave upstate, you dam well know, their not ever coming back ! As the gov. stated in yesterday"s press conference, New York State has no money.

    My 30 year old cherry tomatoes are are just coming up in trays. Bell Pepper will be a while yet. I got some sandy soil worked on the knoll other day. The 75 degree weather today warmed the soil nicely. Just got the lettuce planted when a thunder storm with driving rain drove me out of the field. Buying out of the question, so now thinking of leasing, LOL.

    Would NYC. restrictions be placed on the rest of the state? Just could be a possibility with our governer. I liked to say a lot more, but now isn't the time. All must band together to fight this virus.
