Tough call with the pose. I'll say 4 1/2 years and a 140" rack. He's going to walk right by your stand for a nice broadside shot. Hope to see you with the harvest pics.

I like to get out and watch it all come back alive after the long winter months. Seeing the trees and bushes green. Hearing and seeing the wildlife. Getting out smelling the fresh morning air. Sitting back thinking of hunting experiences, years past. Doing something I really enjoy. . Then, the old gobbler lets one loose. Tell me, what could be better?

Live from the turkey woods 2016

I give in to temptation. The smell of homemade breakfast venison sausage, home fries, and pancakes with pure fresh hot maple syrup with a side order of toast sure slid down the hatch nicely on this cold damp dreary day, LOL. Good luck to you still out. -

My last hen sighting was May 7th. I have yet to see a jake or tom and haven't heard a gobble all season. Talk about discouraging. -
cheap chinese tires...
landtracdeerhunter replied to growalot's topic in Land Management, Food Plots and QDM
I have used the China rear tractor tires on my Ford N tractors in the past and don't have any complaints. They go on the rim tough; act like an 8 ply. My N's all sit outside in the sun 5 years o more with no cracks yet; knock on wood, LOL. -

Where did you get 2- 4 ply implement tires for $70 that were not China manufacture? My cost is running 70 a piece for Firestone for 16"s. -
To each their own. I find some of the less expensive knives just as good as the ones for big bucks. Every knife can be lost; most are disposable; except for some of the replacement blade brands like Havalon, Opinel, Outdoor Edge, and a few other companies getting into disposable blades. Quite a few of your higher end companies are handling less expensive knives in order to survive in the marketplace. Buy what you like and enjoy! Oh, I also use less expensive knives on many, many harvests and done just find LOL.

Knew a Slug long ago. Never did that to him however, he was 6'4 and weighed 260, LOL. Hope you get a tommy! -
I don't think it's legal to use a dog for Spring turkey in New York; even to search. I don't know where Belo is; maybe. Of coarse, nothing says you can't take the dog for a walk.

The "not knowing" part is what would tear me up .How long can one search for a wounded animal; if it's even wounded at all. Sometimes the best of shots can yield to the worst outcomes.

I remember my dads red 62 Willys . Brings back memories. That truck would go through more crap. Modern day trucks would be junk.

Could we get a little more info on exact location and what will be talked about? Thank you. -
Nice! How far down did you have to go with it; motor, chassis , suspension, brakes, etc? That should be visiting car shows.

Mowing oats and clover

Deer eat "weeds" also. In fact, studies have shown some contain higher protein levels than legumes. My front lawn is pretty much weed free; my food source acreage, not so much. -
Nice shots wooly. And here I thought they only made ranch dressing, LOL.

We have lost many good members, just because of this. The cyber world can be a mean one. Hope you can take a change of heart and stay. Their are many here, that enjoy your posts.

Remember getting the turkey jitters on my first go around. Funny how that gun just don't stay still.

Something told me this was related to the turkey post . Shooting a bearded hen thinking it was a jake.

I can't see the snout . Looks like it's rooting.

I believe growalot had more up her sleeve than just her arm here.

Yorkshire Hog. Did one of your neighbors get loose?

Turkey will pull their breast feathers to line their nest, as they are softer.
