Heavy storm went south of us at 5:15 am.. Dust blew, seen gray as the tarp blew by and the power just came back on. Roads have dried now and muggy.

Last time we had something fall out of the sky; my car suffered small dents. What is rain? I've seen frogs fall from the sky in Peoria as we were running to go underground.

Did you go on the " Maid Of The Mist" boat ride? The fireworks over the Canadian side are breathtaking. Believe they are on Saturday nights. -

Sporting a nice rack with a long developed head. Would be a nice archery harvest, with a good start to filling the freezer. -
Every time I walk into the Cabela store on Walden, I look up at those poles. I know you installed them, LOL.

Hang you flags high folks. May the freedom bells ring! Enjoy your celebrations and be safe. -
They say these burn at about 1200 degrees..

Niagara County made it legal to buy sparklers(?) and shoot off last year. I counted 4 tents selling fireworks in a 4 mile stretch between Millersport and Lockport on route 78. The first being just a mile from Erie County. I never heard some much noise as I did last night. For sparklers, they sure make a bang.

Just had a storm roll through with pounding dime size hail and flooding rain. Little tough getting pics when getting pounded in the head, but you get the idea. Ouch, that stings!

Sitting in the Targets newly paved parking lot on Transit watching a big flag a top of a tall pole waving in front of Kohl's made me think; wonder if Red installed that one. Don't really know what this has to do with concerts, LOL.

I have pull up and filled my 150 gallon tank mount on my pickup when we have gas points there. Savings can really add up. Of coarse, they make up some with their higher grocery prices.

I enjoyed Dr. Woods appearances on Drury's Outdoors Wild & Fair Chase videos. He's sure has stepped it up on his own show. Been a fan of his for many many years. As others have said, I have emailed him several times with always a return from him and his staff.

Good clips om summer velvet locations, EHD, and CWD.

Two tenths here, My pumpkins are failing. Looks like extra radish acreage in July. Wheat is getting ripe and the turkey are enjoying it quite nicely. Looks like a good catch of clover and long timothy heads in it. Cracks you can stick you hand in, Take two inches just to fill the cracks.

Grow hit the nail on the head. An effective tool like anything else, if set up properly. Used them for years. Nice to carry on that mile hike in and out. We set up on brush lines where deer are likely to come through. While the deer trying to find out what it is, gives just enough time to get a shot off. Highly recommend. We have a much older version of what they call the " Dream Team" today. Paid something like $29.

Was the Nebraska Cabela's similar to the Hamburg PA. one? I commented to the Cheektowaga employees how lucky they were to work in such a great store. I joked that they even got paid for it. They didn't think I was funny.

We made a trip to Hamburg Pa. several years ago. Don't get me wrong, the Walden Avenue one is nice, but hardly compares in atmosphere and values. The PA. one is mind blowing and well worth the six to seven hour trip. We had no room in the car, on the return trip home. People in that area are lucky to have such a nice Cabelas store. If you ever get a chance to go, by all means do it.

I'm static over the number and paranoid looking out for them ahead of the hay machine. Another sighting this week, but they moved into the standing hay before I could snap a pic. Still 11.

So how are those garden harvest.....
landtracdeerhunter replied to growalot's topic in General Chit Chat
Glad to see your garden doing well. Keep up the hard work. The rewards just taste much better coming from thy own. -
And then; some of us know better.
