  1. Most.wells can be shocked into potability. Septic can simply be a holding tank depending on amount of use ,just keep it pumped.
  2. Cash deal , get the well checked yourself by health department,if it needs to be shocked they will let you know , don't worry about septic passing , cause they don't need to know, dig it up tank access and pump it out.
  3. Usually county health department checks well and septic ,if they don't pass the sellers have to fix or drop price so you can..
  4. I agree hunting to me has always been a close range sport using.skills and knowledge to get.close.to game, hard to miss at 10 yards ,I never claim to be a great shot but I can get set up close to game and take it. Same with running shots close is fine ,further is just something to watch. The problem with the internet is its hard to convey exactly what is meant and much is left up to interpretation..
  5. Most people have all that's required so no real expense. I've done the balloon in a tire with BOW. Its fun and.you learn to lead pretty quick. Imo it should be added to all 3d shoots.( would put a lot of target shooters egos back in place)
  6. Most likely it got pinched between antlers in a fight and tore off or crushed. I've seen 1 deer with a perfect 12 ga slug hole thru its ear dead center. In 35 years
  7. I have video that teaches you how to take running shots and how to practice taking them with BOW!! and another with gun. It's not hard just takes some practice. People have come to despise the thought of it coming it unethical but think nothing of flushing grouse, shooting ducks, geese, rabbit , ect.. yes they use brid shot , but the principals are the same you still have to be on target and birds fly much faster and are much smaller than a deer.. If you care to try it with a bow it's a blast.. simply put a Ballon in center of a tire and roll it , close range moving shots become second nature ,instinctive. With gun you need pit more equipment , a couple of pulls a weed Wacker and fish line ,a weight and balloon, the weed Wacker powers a pull loop of fish line that you hang a drop line and balloon off of, speeds of 50 mph can be achieved ( male sure you have an ample back stop ( side of a hill or gravel pit ) again practice makes perfect.
  8. Valid state wide, buy your muzzleloader tag and get N antlerless only tag ( 11bucks vs the 10 at a chance of a tag) valid state wide during early and late seasons same as your either sex archery..
  9. Seems to be toward thicker cover and apples , what they were eating before would be clover/ hayfields
  10. Buck ranges are shifting with hardening of horn and food source changes. I'm lucky enough to have a large piece of land and bucks that were photographed at one ore two cameras all-summer are now showing almost a mile away on different cameras.. this buck is now the other side of my.property 1.3 miles as crow flies from last camera photo i had to new ones in a Apple orchard. fforthose complaining they had no bucks on cam, you will soon ,always amazing to me how they move when horns start to mineralize and velvet loses nerves.
  11. Maybe she can do an executive order.making bow sept 15 th to October 15 and crossbow only oct 16 to day before gun...
  12. Don't care for a ladder that when I stand up I am .away from the tree . Like to have my shoulder or back against it. Most ladders don't allow for that. And the doubles with mesh seats are near impossible to sit in the middle without a bar Being up your ass..
  13. They are loaded on top of the hill but absent at bottom ,may snow and cold did lower valley apples in this a small orchard I planted in 97 and its loaded.
  14. My favorite ladder stand but not made anymore , the fold in half rail made bowhunting possible for me, and I love the flip up all metal frame seat ,I take the supplied pad off it and use a hottest. Every manufacture has gone to mesh.. mesh rots and weakens in the weather they last a bit but the day you go to a stand and the seat rips from under you your done, you probably won't find a replacement. So stand become junk. At least with full metal frame under you a simple hot seat works every time and if you forget it you can still sit. They also made a man and a half that I liked again flip up full metal frame.. I think big dogg trèstands are only one left to make a full metal seat anymore
  15. Hope your fertilizer gives them a boost definitely to many seed to close. Deer may help you thin it out a bit. I literally have to run tonget proper seeding rate with a hand spreader. It always looks scarce till about 30 days in and then it jumps and tops become 2 ft plus tall and in diameter
  16. Of course he's correct, but you will never see a government admit oops we were wrong they throw money at projects for years with no chance of a viable outcome..
  17. Betting he moves to Florida...
  18. The draw of brassica to deer is well known. But different varieties have different palatable times. Turnips both varieties I've used appin and purple top require a hard frost or several in my experiance to become favored making them great late season attractant Nov and Dec with many years the bulbs not being touched till Jan or February. Radish on the other hand besides most being " tillage varieties " bring nutrients from deep down to the surface ( some.roots will go 6 ft plus deep ) the tops are a favorite early and seem to have remarkable regrowth to heavy browsing being prefered much earlier than turnips sept and october I've had my field eaten to the root in early october and continued regrowth and browsing until turnip greens are fermented into high sugar content. Though the root is eaten its not pulled out like turnips but it leaves large holes in the ground 1.5 in by ft or more deep leaving the nitrogen that has seeped deep back on the surface and lessening the need for it to be applied in spring plantings Knowing the difference in these two may help you decide when you are attempting to attract game to your hunting schedule. There are other brassica such as rape and kale I have not experimented with them in a pure stand to see their preference over radish or turnip . But they do not create a root or bulb which then creates a secondary late season and over winter food source I usually look for. If you have experience with any of them I'd love to hear it.. The time to have your brassica in is now in most southern counties, the lake plains have a few weeks still as your frost date is much later than the southern tiers late Sept early.oct dates
  19. Remember you lose 1/2 in diameter of that rack for.velvet.. 2.5 is my final answer
  20. Hind quarters are taller than front quarters, great 2.5 maybe a 3.5 in your area . Not a 4.5 by any means My place that is 2.5 all day.
