Best conceal carry for a women?

Recommended Posts

keltec pf9....easy on the wallet and a great CC gun. I know they make a clip that attaches by removing the pin in the back of the gun for the 380. Not too sure if they make it for the 9 but even the 380 is enough. Only thing is when you buy them the sights are subpar at best need to be tweaked a bit, once you do that you are golden.

Colt mustang is another option. I know ruger makes a small pistol either 380 or 9 not too sure i saw it the other day when i was at my bow/gun shop.

Like others have stated, both guns you listed are good.

Ruger makes the LCP in 380 and the LCR in 38 special. Both very light weight.

Have you looked at a North American Arms 22mag?

The NAA 22mag PUG is very easy to carry and won't be left at home or in the car like other handguns.

A good knife with a sharp blade...one that will open and lock with the flick of her wrist....

Many woman are grabbed from the blind side...not getting a chance to pull a gun...a knife in her pocket or a sheath strapped to her side and teaching her not to grab the arm around her neck....instinct.....but the blade would go further to save her...IMO

A good dummy to teach her to not hesitate in thrusting the blade and not to cut her self doing so....

Im going to be looking at the LCP380 soon. Im very interested in one with the laser sight built in. Perfect carry gun, small, light, fast on target with the laser and some of the newer 380 rounds seem to look very good for close quarters.

I have a Ruger LCP with a Crimson laser on it . I don't like the trigger on it . Pull , pull , pull and it finally goes off . I prefer a trigger that has tension on it and when you pull , it fires . just my opinion ..........I havn't fired the LCP enough to get comfortable with it .

I bought a small 32 cal fits right in the palm of her hand and in an out side pocket in a coat she most of the time has her hands in them any ways and in the summer she just palms it

I like the thought of the 22mag for her. Specs are small. I have both 38 and 380 BG. As small as the 38 BG is it still seems a little big for a women to conceal and has more kick. The .380 is perfect but I have to see if she can rack it... not all that easy if you don't have strength in your hands. The NAA22mag may be the answer. Question: it appears as a single action, therefore would have to be cocked each time to shoot. Not sure I like that... am I correct in this?

Two characteristics of the Colt Mustang Pocketlite that make it well suited to women: slide is easily racked...single action w/light trigger pull. The LCP and other double action only pistols, with their long, heavy trigger pull are not near as female-friendly.

The NAA 22mag is a single action 5 shot.

I have the PUG and I changed out the small grip for the bigger Black Widow grip and it fits my hand perfectly. This gun fits in your front pocket and you don't even know it's there. Recoil is nothing and is fun to shoot. See if you can find the model with interchangable cylinders so you can shoot 22lr and 22mag.

I have owned all kinds of handguns from 44 mags down to 25acp and there have always been times when they were left behind because of their size or weight.

The NNA eliminates that problem.

When I carry a .380 I use the Mag Tech Guardian Gold 85 grain +P. I tested these my self. They expand and penetrate very well. The Critical Defense stuff did well too but didn't penetrate quite as much.

I had my wife rack the BG 380 tonight. At first she could not even budge it but after she learned that she could use the meat of her hand and thumb and simply pull back and release it was pretty good for her. We need to go the range and shoot to see if this is a go. I'd say right now it better than 50/50 she will be able to use this 380 or the Ruger. She does like the laser and I think the Ruger laser is in a better place and is easier to activate. That being said, I was at Gander this afternoon and one of the handgun techs showed me how to use my weak thumb (left hand) to activate the BG380 and it is quite easy.

The more I delve into the 380s, the more I like the sounds of the Sig P238. I need to find a couple different ones to shoot.

Hows the trigger feel on the Bodyguard nybuckboy? Ive been skeptical about the S&W because I hate that M&P trigger so much, but the BG looks like it doesnt have the hinged trigger.

Looked at and held the Sig at Gander as well and liked it. Nice trigger... felt good. Shot my 380BG yesterday and must say I really like the gun. I shot a an old deer head at 20 feet and hit it 4 of 7 times and haven't shot it in months and no laser. Just lifted it up with both hands and instinctively shot. I have been working on this type of shooting as I can't see the sight well enough to use them and don't want to have to use the laser.
