Cold

2 degrees at my place when I got up this morning. The ground feels like concrete in my yard, and the mud I got on my truck from shed hunting over the weekend is frozen solid on there.

-4 here last night...cold enough to snap the frame on my lighted deer decoration in the yard...it's life size and the head moves........so it swivels at the neck...metal snapped and dropped his head on the ground....0 here now

When The Mermaid and I boarded a plane in Sarasota, Florida yesterday morning, the temps were in the 70s...

When we de-planed in Elmira yesterday afternoon, it was around ZERO...

This morning it was so cold that I looked out in the backyard and saw a MINK wearing a FAT LADY....<<wink>>....

Look, this global cooling has got to come to a halt. It's time for all of us to step outside and empty a few aerosol cans into the air. Let's get those greenhouse gases cranking. I'm cold!

this morning i felt the mucus inside my nose freeze as I stepped outside. You know it's cold when that happens.

I was out at 6 this morning, no wind so not that bad, just ran and got my camera out back and its snowing pretty good here

I went for a hike yesterday...felt bad that I kicked several deer out of their beds...they don't need the added energy expulsion..I'll have to stick to the road now....They are now starting to stress....pellets have gone from fairly normal.... though very dry..... to orangish brown and very dry...urine dark yellow ....The beds went from just depressions in the snow to completely melted to the leafs...telling me they are not retaining their heat at all well....I almost wish they'd stay on the neighbors land and in the pine groves...but with all the added corn fields this past summer...I'm just about the only food source in the area ....I started dropping small trees and will start on the bigger ones this week...they still have the hog radish but not much of that left either.

We were a balmy 6 degrees this morn. Cloud cover kept the temps up a bit. Feels like a heat wave. Snow pack of about 6". Nice deep black , glossy pellet color, so not to worried on deer health at this time.

it was 6 here also but it has started to warm up we are at 9, should hit 20 today

i was just out again, ran next door and checked my camera got eggs and went down to road for garbage can. I think it has to be colder than what weatherchannels says. BRrrr

Definitely not the kind of weather I want to be replacing my well pump in. Oh well, the new one runs like a champ!
