CNYlungbuster
hope the weather stays nice I would prefer it a lil bit colder but there will be plenty of time for cold later lol CNY
WNYBuckHunter
Those temps will be just fine, its showing to be a bit colder in my neck of the woods though. They have extended the rain chance to Saturday as well. Hopefully it stays away.
UpStateRedNeck
Looks like Rain Friday clearing to windy overnight/early morning. Maybe they'll be moving a bit to dry out. More likely sleeping all day. Full Moon the following Friday, so it will be getting pretty bright out at night.
burmjohn
It will be cloudy so hopefully some of that moon light is blocked. P.S. my favorite weather site: http://www.wunderground.com/
UpStateRedNeck
Yeah I love that site John, much more accurate than weather.com and has been pretty accurate for wind speeds / time of day.
burmjohn
Whats great is all the personal weather stations is aggregates from, so you get real local data.

crappyice
The weather is just another one of those ridiculous variables that messes with the hunter's mind and robs us of more sleep? Hey there's a good new thread...Most annoying variables that you can't control.
burmjohn
Most annoying variables that you can't control. My wife
Fairgame
Its only 9 weeks out of 52. The other half has to understand. When deer hunting is over then I find an excuse for small game and waterfowl. I do my best not to be married during any type of hunting season. Luckily she understands and is envious that I love hunting so much. She is still trying to find something she loves to do as much as I do. burmjohn
You need to move back to NY, so I can stick my wife with yours and let it rub off, plus then they can hang out
Fairgame
I'm working on moving back. She is ready to go but we are waiting on getting things straightened out with one of the businesses. Its hard with a partner in business. Or as soon as I can get a really good job in NY, I wont let it go and not take the job. I will give my business partner everything and leave. I should be back in the NY hopefully in the next year or so
WTAddict
I dont really worry bout the weather, i see more deer moving in the rain. Ill be at camp thrusday night and aint goin home till i tag out! Yea i say that and brown is gonna be down too, problem is i let to many of them walk, i have never tagged out HA. There is a rumored 14 pt thats been seen on my property, might have been close to him last year, could hear him (sounded like an elephant ripping up the brush) 30 yds away, maybe this year.....G/L to everyone! UpStateRedNeck
Got up at 3:45 this morning so I'm not draggin my butt on Saturday, It wasn't even light out this morning until 7am. I should be able to sneak in saturday morning about 1 and 1/2 hours before down and be nicely situated. Now to decide what stand to sit in..... leaning towards my apple tree/swamp stand. I got pictures of at least 2 different 8 pointers coming through and sniffing for does on my trail cam.

steve863
I dont really worry bout the weather, i see more deer moving in the rain. Really? I can't say that has been my experience in 30 years of deer hunting. I think a blustery wind is even worse than rain which they are also forecasting for Saturday. Have never had much luck in either unless I stalked. Sometimes you can get lucky in the wind when stalking, but ones senses are not as sharp when you have trees and branches moving and making a lot of noise.
