What sucks more no deer,noisy ass squalrrels or 20 plus winds

Sitting over a nicr creek bottom with a winter wheat field behind me and crp in front of me. Winds have slowed a bit. 3 rabbit hunter just came through. Said they saw a nice buck chasing does right by here earlier. Hopefully he comes back this way.

Back in the creek bottom. There are 4 or more deer about 400 yards behind me feeding in an alfalfa field. Been watching them since I could see that far. They are slowly moving this way and if they keep it up will go right by at 20 yrds or less. We will see.

Not much wind here other than a light breeze and occasional gust of maybe 8 to 10mph. A lot better than yesterday.

  We got the wind yo had yesterday then I was in a 15 inch oak and was swaying like a drunk sailor.

Alright in my stand for a half hour already wind seems to be dying down now I just need some deer. In a new spot looks good hope it turns out good

Gonna have to wait til next weekend I guess....big boy came out on a doe...grunt...rattle...doe bleat....only thing I didn't do was put on a skirt and show a little leg....he paid no attention to me....oh...and they walked within 15 yards of my wheeler...guess I should have sat there

Been in the stand for an hour. Heard deer around me before light. Getting a light sprinkle.

I'm so mad but so pumped right now. Just had. Crazy looking 3.5 year old 140ish buck at 20 yards that I grunted in. I got at full draw on him but couldn't anchor well because of my safety strap. I have never been that close to a deer of that caliber. My bow ticked my stand and he busted out. I hope I see him again.

Yes, I did grunt again to try and get him to come back, but he was outta there. Im gonna get back in that stand tonight.

I heard if you get down from your stand and take a run at them big ones they come back in..quick try that!  haha..do you have anything to rattle with? or maybe a snortwheeze?
