FYI, Spammers are making a full on assault on the site.. So if you notice any just let us know, doing the best we can here.

 

 

We average about say 5-10 new users a day...  For the most part the anti spam system is working blocking about 99% of the spammers immediately, however some have slipped through because of the slight increase as noted by the graph below.

I have been seeing the spammers in the introduction section. I've deleted and banned 4 a day for the past few days... Havnt seen any in a day or 2..

I can't believe it works, but it must since they keep trying.

I run a small blog for a friends hotel and had to go to pre approve all submissions because of it.

The ones I catch are advertising some crap that has nothing to do with hunting . It's people looking to advertise .......

Trust me, it's everywhere. I have moderated a few forums with very wide subject matter... from collecting to art, and it's just part of internet forums. Most of them aren't even humans, but scripts that look to overcome the forum's checks. For the most part they spam advertizements, though some of it comes through very garbled or in other languages, so it doesn't even work.
