Tough act to follow but we had a beef roast in the crock pot. Kids didnt like my last concoction so I tamed it up. Onion soup mix, roast, potato, and carrots.

Actually turned out way awesome.  While I was cooking tho, I decided to try to cook up a few small pieces of venison just right with butter and montreal steak seasoning, I was pleasantly surprised at how good it was.  I'm new to venison and wasn't sure if I'd like it as much as beef.  I can see how if you over or under cook venison it can turn people off.  I guess I learned you just have to be on point while cooking it.
