Jeremy K
Maybe this is a good thing,we don't pay them their money and they can take back all the crap merchandise they ship over here.
Fletch
We can pay them in a matter of hours. We can just print the money. The debt is tied to so many things. Also so many countries owe us money as well. What kills us is all the foreign trade crappy agreements our government has got us tied into. China couldn't even think of pissing us off...what the hell would they do with no one to sell their junk to and no one to steal any new ideas off of. We worry about so many other things than our main problem.. our own government and how being a politician is all about money off the average Joes' back. Sorry off tangent....and yes the market is a joke. Insider trading pfft try to find a truly wealthy person who does not get "tips". While the Joes' get left playing the "fair" game... growalot
You know I could quote all of you and then rap it up with this: Americans are all talk now and little action...That is why we voted in the Government we have now, and are looking at the wolves advancing even further into our land of the free....BTW nothing is EVER FREE Edited July 8, 2015 by growalot
Nomad
The stock market is a long term investment I've been in for 30 years and plan on at least another 30. One year or five is but a blip . It a major part of the reason I'm retiring in my late 50's and my kids have no college debt. Dollar cost average let it ride. A three or four fund lazy portfolio rebalance as needed . Right now nearing retirement I put 30% in fixed at 4%. Start when you first start working , it's the early money that can really work for you . My wife and I aimed for around 15 % of our gross to invest. But we don't own " nice "cars or trucks or a large home. But long term we're thrilled with the market. EspressoBuzz
With China's stock market crash how long before they come knocking for there money from the US? China has a 4 trillion dollar surplus and It's central bank has been bolstering their stock market. My charts show it will weather this downturn and begin a slow steady gain. wdswtr
China has a 4 trillion dollar surplus and It's central bank has been bolstering their stock market. My charts show it will weather this downturn and begin a slow steady gain. The downturn was there very own creation. China loaned an extreme amount of money to the average citizen who could come up with some capitol to invest, how else did they expect this outcome to be? Hey you come up with 10K to invest and we will give you 50K to add to it. Extremely familiar to some other country who gave out a mortgages to people who couldn't afford the payments just with a different twist.
