For you beer nerds- Go to Portland. I repeat-Go to Portland. I've always loved beer but going to Portland in September reignited my love for beer. Went there at the tail end of a trip out west and it was incredible. Was only there for 1.5 days but spent 1 day going to 7 breweries. Got to hotel, typed in "breweries" on maps and there was a bunch within walking distance. Des chutes brewery was one of the best beer experiences I've ever had. This city really knows its beer.

Deschutes puts out some great beer too. Fresh squeezed is top notch.

We hit the Fingerlakes beer trail every summer on the way home from Ithaca. Cayuga, Seneca, Keuka lake have a boat load of breweries and the mrs. gets to stop at wineries.

on the way back from vacation at airport in Charlotte, NC some of us had Olde Mecklenburg Copper Ale.  That was really good beer.  only available in Germany and there in Charlotte supposedly.

earlier this week stocked the fridge with some more run of the mill stuff, cans of Sam Winter Lager and Octoberfest.

Wife and kids bought me 4 of them for Fathers day. Love em. $10/ 4pack at Kohls. And the beer inside is solid but no comparison to Jay's selection tonight @ 18%abv. Go whoever wins!!!
