Final Weekend

As we enter the final weekend of this years hunting season I was wondering what the thoughts of my fellow hunters is regarding the 2015 season, etc.  Checking the weather map it appears that there will be a cold snap this weekend in CNY and I am hoping that will get some deer moving.

I got my TC FX Pro Hunter and TC 209 Wildcat tuned up this afternoon and will be out Fri-Sun all day.  The PH is my main and the Wildcat is my thick woods piece.  Can't wait for the cold weather, just hope it doesn't snow and I get called into work to plow!

I honestly am hoping for at least a little snow in the southern tier so I can try to track down and seal the deal on a bear.

They are calling for a little snow on Friday.  Hopefully it sends the deer into panic mode and they try to fatten up in my food plot where I will be waiting.

I will probably be sick Friday so I don't want to spread to coworkers so I better not go I'll just sit in woods instead...sat probably a no go for me gotta finish/start Xmas shopping lol Sunday will be all day for me

Well....I'm going give it my all sat sun mon tuesday. Have 2 buck tags to fill. I'm holding out hope for snow in 9k. I've had great luck after a good snow so heres hoping

All day tomorrow ( Thursday ) , all day Monday and most of Tuesday. Have dmps and an either sex tag. Still room in the freezer. Looks like I'm going to get wet tomorrow for sure. At least it's not 70 degrees or constant high winds however

I skipped yesterday completely 25+ mph constant winds. Bedding grounds off property I can hunt Stayed home and worked on honey do list. Honey owns " the thang " so ....

My thoughts this season…..I spent the least amount of time in the woods this year in a long long time. Actually it was about 20 hours between bow and gun and my tags were filled in gun season. Never ever thought it would work out that way but it did. Lady luck was surly on my side.

I expect quiet here...no buck allowed...most guys have packed it in...the guys will hit camp...but mainly to close it up. I've processed 3 deer by myself and told them anything they get...they do alone...I'm in Christmas prep mode...lol

I will be sick as well Friday if there is snow on the ground. Saturday all day. Sunday I'll be in Rochester all day for my sons volleyball tournament. Monday am only and Tuesday already took off.

I am really hoping for some snow cause at this point I need the help!

Been out since October 1. Logged in several hundred hours. Been a great year with a lot of surprises. Shed hunting begins next Wednesday. Quite eager to find some points.

Ill be hunting in an "antler-less only area"  It'd be nice to put one more big doe in the freezer.  Of course, I have the sneaking suspicion that Ill be coming home with some cell phone pics of the healthy, live, big bucks that survived the season.  Safe to call that "catch-and-release hunting"?

ive spent the least time in the woods this year compared to any year before as well. Maybe 10-12 sits total between bow and gun season. But its been a success in my eyes. every year is a good year being in the woods.. 2 deer only being a bonus! ill hit the woods Friday afternoon and hopefully Saturday then i will be done for the year. hoping the cooler weather will bring snow and a draw for the soybeans and turnips.. the pressure has been off for a few weeks.. may even bring the Mathews instead of the t/c

I also believe that the woods will be quite.  Most of my hunting friends have packed it in for the season and I don't know of anyone else going out this weekend.  I hope my persistence pays off.  Good luck to all.

This handsome fella wandered by this morning... Obviously he is a bigger fan of "antler-less only area" than I am. He survived the season, should be great deer next year.
