I was going to suggest that next time you take along someone who can shoot  <<  ME !! >>.. but then when I realized how freakin COLD it looks there, I changed my mind...hehehehe...great picture, Lee....

it was not bad today, didn't even have to wear gloves, i can tell ya freezing rain with 25-30 mph wind stings on your face.  I did redeem myself after that with 3 shots fired and 2 dead drake goldeneyes and a dead goose. 

I will have to say it was fun, falling through the ice was not so much fun!

should be a good bunny day its supposed to be summer tomorrow.  should be interesting with 40-50 mph winds so playing the wind with the lead will be a must.

yeah she does NOT get sent for retrieves in the ice, she is just as happy to go and set there and watch.  chunks of ice the size of those ones are very capable of breaking a dogs legs or even crushing the dog to death.  Ziva may be slightly spoiled since she is with me 24/7 usually.

Almost feels like it's raining thumb tacks. Had the same issue riding the wheeler out for ice fishing a couple years ago.

no decoys at that time,  yeah that ice is no joke even for a person if there is a hard surge with the water you can easily get your legs slammed between 2 sheets of ice. Like I said dangerous for a person, deadly for a dog.
