My 1st Deer Mount

Just got my mount back today, went with a black walnut shield, cost a bit more but i love the look.

also did the hoof gun rack.

It scored 162 2/8 after deductions.

Yeah great buck but dont think its 160 class either.Where is joe on this thread he has scored many and will give a rough idea.Im not sure it a 130 but no matter great buck!!

Tough guess a score from the angle of the photo.  I don't think 160's is accurate, maybe they transposed the numbers and it is 126?

great buck, great mount....definitely not 162 though.  This is my 156 7/8 from Michigan (11 pointer) for reference.

and heres a 154 and change, 9 pointer from Michigan also. I think a previous poster is correct...probably 126 and change, not 162...probably just a typo.

i agree tho, maybe it could be the angle of the shot but 160" doesn't look feasible... It doesnt look like it has enough tine length to me. nice deer none the less!

thats a good point with the numbers, 62 and 26. i have never scored a deer myself. and have nothing to go by. but im very happy with it  ;D

and yes, this is the deer from the 2010 bow season.

I will get a flex tape and post the measurements, and ask for some help. I would like to know, just to know.

Regardless of what it scores, that is sure is one pretty mount! The taxidermist did a great job! I would be proud to display that one!

Very nice bucks and for sure a typo or the guy that scored that needs to score those and they will be in the 180's and up. lol (Scoring on a curve)
