Schools out for summer!
The inflatable kayak arrived today ($65 & free shipping-love Amazon prime) and she took a test ride after her summer camp counselor orientation(she working for me this summer!)

On the way home she said, “we should find a bunch of different lakes to paddle on this summer.”

Tear came to my eye! My “Broadway” star/city girl finds nature!!!

You’re definitely hitting em hard Andrew   Way to go.
But I want to hear about the reference to sending a rod or two down with the down riggers default_rolleyes.gif
Lol. Riggers have been not so hot. The hot ROD is the 3 colors. Your a perv, but I like your style

Was out on Oneida today with my buddies son.  He wanted to pitch for those basses agian. We caught a few, nothing huge. Some bass, pickerel , panfish.  Good day of fishing , but a bit slow on the bass bite.  Nice day for sure though.

Ever fish for pickerel with those rope flies I think their called   I think that’s for gar though

Haven't tried those.  I have caught gar , big ones , in dexter on the black River bay on lures

Usually pickerel will hit about anything moving quick by them.. they are aggressive critters.

Gorgeous pic.  You’re hard work and skipping  most of turkey season to work on boat has been well rewarded
Brother, the smiles and memories with the kids can't compare to any day in the turkey woods. Worth the sacrifice !!

Staying after em ! Had a blast with my son this am. We caught a pile. He finally got his first hit on his push button/ rigger setup. Was a perch but it counts. Also got a double which was basically chaos for daddy...lol. Made it happen though and he ended up cranking both in. Another solid am on onieda !36dd1119ea2d2f139a164c8356d3c023.jpge958f7b969de13f6ee933a4677bad7fd.jpg3f653b98c76d25b7b1a323b261e3b0c1.jpg1c93b125697c151d4c396a5261c19de6.jpg39fc4b4374c404d63684efbdac511137.jpg791fc83274a6d4deacba3058606249f4.jpgc8ffeb571426c0fb102aee58de2398ac.jpg

First batch of photos. Hopefully be better tomorrow. Took awhile this morning to just find a place that had a boat to rent. Everyone was booked. But finally got out. Kinds and wife got a handful of small snapper. I got a nice 20" mutton snapper in 110' of water. Son got a puffer. Good day and hopefully better tomorrow.
