Robhuntandfish
Had the morn off so went out for a bit on Oneida. Lake was wavy already at 5:30 and that's always a bad sign. So fished the canal. Had good morn. Limit of eyes, 33 " northern, a couple of smallies. Lost one other eye right at the net and had a good walleye or a northern on that broke me off. Good morning out for sure.

crappyice
Nice evening on the east branch of the Croton Last one was 16” which is about as big as they get I assume in that water. 6 to the net with three more dropped after hook up. All crushing tan caddis 16. Large white (like ghost white)mayfly on the water sporadically too - not sure I ever saw one of those before hence I don’t know what to call it! But the kid said they were seeing coffen flies last night . He said they were big white 747 size flies. he got a couple of fish on the white wulffs I tied for him . As usual the green drakes appear to be hatching after dark for the most part. I'm betting your seeing pale evening duns or dorathea. Robhuntandfish
Went out on Oneida this am. Was bit rough and buddy wanted to fish canal so we junked fished the canal. Caught smallies , largemouth, pickerel, northern, and one walleye. The biggest I've gotten out of Oneida. 25+ inches. Fun on a stickbait and 6lb test. Had another big one come up to the boat but he didn't take. Good day on the water.

BTW, I can filet much better than I showed yesterday but I was sandbagging, no need to take the limelight from you & Dan.
Pygmy
Rob..Thanks for the sixpack of craft beer ( ale)... When I got home, first I unloaded the truck &boat, then I took a two hour NAP, then I mowed the lawn, and right now I'm kicked back enjoying a Good Natured Blonde....Life is GOOD...<<sigh>>…. Oh.. I almost forgot..Thanks again to Larry for bringing the bottle of Crown...Some people think those fishing trips are all fun and games, but it's not EASY drinking as much beer and whiskey as I drank yesterday afternoon !! Nytracker
I carry a flask of Jamison's and a couple nice cigars when I fish . Nothing more relaxing than resting the water with a nip and a smoke.
