Chef
So I bought a new to me garand off another forum and it arrived today. The receiver is a Winchester-13 meaning it’s a mistake that Winchester made and used duplicate serial numbers to Springfield late in WWII. The gun also has many national match parts on it. I’m having it looked into If it’s a actually national match gun. If it is that would be super rare as almost all of them have Springfield receivers as the work was all done at Springfield armory. Can’t wait to find out more about this beauty. She’s real tight and clean and I can’t wait to shoot her. Hunter007
Dam that thing looks brand new , did it stay locked up in a armory someplace for all these years ?
Chef
There are two ways you can tell the first is by looking up the serial number, then also the drawing number on the receiver leg is marked win-13 at the end Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Chef
Dam that thing looks brand new , did it stay locked up in a armory someplace for all these years ?Not sure its for sure a Arsenal rebuild as the stock is marked a such. Most M1’s have been re built at some point im just curious to see if this was rebuilt to use at the national matches at camp perry. If it was this gun could easily be worth 5x that of a regular garand Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Five Seasons
I fell in love with this gun after playing medal of honor on playstation as a kid haha. There's just something about the ping at the end of the (clip?) the garand is a clip right? It's on my list of guns to own some day.

Chef
All I can say is wow, shot her for the first time and she holds a 2inch group at 100 that is super accurate for a Garand Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
grampy
Absolutely beautiful rifle. And to have it shoot as good as it looks, is the sweet icing on the cake. Hopefully you can find out if it was indeed a match rifle. That would definitely make it even cooler than it already is! And more valuable as well. Though if it were mine, I could never sell it. The Engineer
I have one myself. Bought it before the silly safe act. Turned to be all match grade parts. I didn't even know what that meant. A guy on LI (O'rion 7) is an expert on them and sells parts and bullets but reload my own. As for the 2" groups at 100 yards, a Garand well do better then that at 300 yards. Great gun good luck and go use it

So don't shoot it he says the rifles only worth $125 . I will take it off you hands for that price if you want
