WesternNY
Going to wait for day break and sneak into a plot edge that has a perfect wind for today, but if I go in at dark I will for sure push some deer off. Last night I had a 2.5 yr old buck chasing does off the plot. Should be a good morning, nice frost, 29 with 80% chance of snow, high only in mid 30's! Good luck everyone. Deerthug
Had a doe at 42 yds along corn for about 30 mins. She never presented me with a clear shot. Had her arse facing me most of the time. Walked back to where she came from. No other movement. Getting chillier. Thank God for thermos full of hot green tea.

growalot
It was a crunchy walk in this a.m.....and the stand was covered in ice and leafs....yep quiet wasn't in the cards this morning but still had action ...a buck chasing a doe on neighbors property and a bit later a doe fawn came in and bedded 15yrds to my lft....with in minutes she suddenly popped up and ran like her tail was on fire....a couple of min later in came a wounded 7pt....looks like he was shot in the front leg....he wasn't what I was looking for but I just hate seeing a wounded deer...so I stood and got ready to shoot if he presented....waiting for him to go behind a group of big maple so I could draw.....he suddenly turned and headed straight for me...got to another maple and looked away.... I went to draw and TINK!!...my cam had caught a snap in my jacket pocket...I finished the draw and he was staring straight at me.....well he was 20yrds out and had just a slight quarter toward me ...I could do it....NOPE....he heard the release and went to turn away and suddenly looked like a pin in a bowling ally...just tipped over!!I watched the arrow slide over the length of his side just behind his shoulder...feet kicking and he popped up hitting the fletching sending my arrow end over end....the whole thing happened in a split second ..but I swear time slowed down!....he hobble jumped several yrds then looked back as if to wonder what the hell just happened??!!...Reminds me of what I do when I trip on something...lol I think the wounded leg just gave out and he couldn't compansate....I hope he makes it...dang lucky boy for sure.. Not long after that just over a dip in the hill I see a sapling violently wagging back and forth....I grunted twice and a moment later I see a deer hop into the brambles headed away and a buck...not sure how big ...coming my way in the same patch...he either laid down 4oyrds out or managed to skirt around me...In for a break ...snowing and winds picked up...good luck
