Smallies ought to be postspawn and feeding hard now. Calm day and walking the dog Zara should be fun. Didn’t try top water. Water was crazy clear. And got zero fish along breakwall Finally connected in deeper water

KShadows
Spent all day on Allen Lake, then ditched to a small pond that holds some giants but not a lot of luck. Pond is half covered in thick scum but I managed to put together a decent punch rig and pulled in a pounder. grampy
Life has been crazy lately. But I did get up to the Great Sacandaga yesterday for some fishing with my BIL on his new boat. We boated well over 40 smallmouth! Nothing huge but a bunch of fun catching and releasing. Was a great day just to be out there!!! I took pictures of him with my phone. And he of me with his phone. He hasn't sent me mine yet. So here is a couple of his. Beautiful place to fish. At about 62mph going to next spot.

Your BIL is damn near as good looking as I am.....I don't want to ride in any damn boat at 62 MPH, though...My 14.5 alumicraft with a 30 Honda does about 28 MPH top speed, and that is plenty fast enough for this old country boy..Hehehe..

coonhunter
For some reason it scares the shit out of me when I'm in a boat flying along. Cars, motorcycles, snowmobiles are all fine, but I guess boats going fast is one of my worries.

My boat will do 60 max, with just myself, and a light load. But I rarely run WFO. It's faster than his old boat. So I think he bought this new one, so he can have the bragging rights now!...hehehe It takes a real fast fish to catch up with a trolling rig at that speed. I once went over 100mph in a race boat. Once was enough for me though.

The fish have scattered, and we cant find them.

Even here it hasnt warmed up much. Different lake but we've been trolling harnesses at .8-1.0 and doing well. Good luck hope you find a good pack of them.
