Maine 2020...Let’s Get This Going.

Well guys, and gals, its our favorite time of the year again, and as always I enjoy sharing the pics.  
 

We left later than usual this morning at 4:30am, but thankfully had a safe, and smooth 500+ mile drive up here to Moosehead Lake.  
 

We took a short detour off the highway in Kennebunkport, to drive passed the Bush compound.  It was nice to see the ocean, but honestly, a 15-20 session of glancing over at it as I drove the coastal meandering road, is plenty enough for me! I need the bogs, dirt roads, overloaded log trucks rippin down the dirt roads! So off we went, back up the highway another 200 some miles to our spot.  Arrived at the house, cleaned up, and drove over to a lakeside eatery for some amazing seafood chowder!

All is well up here, sorry to hear you canceled.  We booked in February, and were crossing fingers, and toes that we would be allowed to drive up here.

My neck of the woods . I built and own a camp in central Maine . Its really a house but we call it " going up to the camp " . Where are you vacationing up in Maine ? Sounds and looks like Bar Harbor .

Moosehead Lake, and Kokadjo.

I went to Bar Harbor, and Acadia the first year I went up here.  It was nice, food was amazing, but just too rich, and fancy for my blood.

Keep the photos coming, wife and are planning a trip to Moosehead Lake next year for our anniversary. Oh and you can get that atv of yours a little muddy this year,  I do recall last year it looked too clean in the pictures .

My house is a little over an hour drive from Rockwood  directly across on the other side of the lake from Kokadjo.

Nice ! Have a great time riding those trails !

LOVE Kokadjo, love it like crazy, it is where we want to retire at this point, such a special place.

I proposed to Jenn last September 9th on top of Mount Kineo on the fire tower.

I get the quad dirty lol, I just detail the hell out of it prior!  This is the last year for it though, brand new 195 hp X3 turbo RR for next year, cannot wait

October 5th next year will be our 30th anniversary.

We too, sadly had to bow out of our Maine vacation, back in May. But will gleefully follow along here, with you and Jen! Your joy of being there transcends through your posts!! Thanks for sharing with us.

Wife and I had a cruise scheduled for September in the Northeast with a couple stops in Maine ... it was cancelled of course !  We did the LL Bean thing a few years ago and stuffed ourselves with Lobster and Chowda every day ! Enjoy your trip and keep the Pic's coming !

Today we went out to the ice cream stand for lobster rolls.  After that we fueled up the ATV,  and took a scenic ride through the backwoods.  A total of 74 miles which is our longest ride to date.  What a nice day, back at the house now, going to grill sone steaks that I’ve had marinading since yesterday, and then sit by the fire.
