Creaky Stand Fix

I have an old API hang-on that has started to creak when putting the seat up or down. Was thinking of using a cooking oil spray? Obviously worried about scent and changing the hardware is not happening this year. Curious as to what fixes you guys have used when your stands make unwanted noise.  Thanks !

I have used a dry spray lubricant. Leaves no smell after drying. Can find it in any hardware store. I spray my bow cams and other hunting related gear too. Also works great for creaky doors at home!!!

Vegetable oil works.

Wd-40, deer love the smell of it and actually come to it.  any gun oil, vegetable oil will get sticky as it drys.  Dry Teflon spray works well too

Silicone spray. It dries and doesn’t get sticky.

Sprayed some vege oil as that’s what I had on hand and it has seemed to work. Plan to get some odorless gun oil as well for off-season maintenance. Thanks all.

I have used food grade mineral oil.

Use something that has some think that holds up. Scent is a non issue. Think white lithium grease or regular grease you’d use in a fitting
