No way will I vote Obama. He hasnt even opened up his can of whoop american ass yet. My biggest fear is he is holding out on his ture intentions in hope of re-election. With knowing he is done after the second term he will destroy what he has not already. As far as the rich and taxes, well I know Im not rich if you are referring to money lol. But I do know this, The rich employ, the more you tax them the less they have to spend on business and employees. The more the government takes from them theres less reason for them to grow a business and profits. Why reach the next tax brackets if the reward for the extra work and time is dismal. Every american has the opportunity to be rich, and the ones who are succesful at that should not be chastised for it. A flat tax percentage rate across the board is perfectly fine with me. The more you make the more you pay but the tax % is the same across the board. You want health care for the elderly? Kick the damn illegal immigrants out of the country, take away all the BS priveledges for being on welfare like free cell phones EBT cards they can buy beer with, put them on a short list where if fully capable to be employed they have to get off there ass and get a job. If they cant support them self when fully capable sure the hell dont encourage them to birth more kids to get more damn handouts. Take those funds and provide the health care for the elderly that cant afford it. Any Obama voters should take a look at our national debt prior to his election and now. Now tell me who has spent the amount of money he has in less than 1 term and not done anything to improve this country? So no he will never get my vote unless its a vote to kick his ass out of this country!

I am going to be holding my nose and placing an ABO vote....Anyone but Obama. Unfortunately there is no conservative in the race. We have to pick between the lesser of the lefts.

Can I vote for Ryan and not Romney?

I'm voting for Romney and Ryan precisely BECAUSE I have compassion for the poor and feel they have been use as pawns by the democrats who have institutionalized poverty long enough (since Johnson). We can supply health care to the poor WITHOUT a 2600 page bill that entangles a useless government bureaucracy into all our lives. What does that 2600 page monstrosity get us but a big fat Government which spends our tax dollars more irresponsibly so only a small percentage gets to the poor. With Obama everybody loses, top to bottom. He and the Democrats have got nothing good to show us for their years of unbridled abuse of power. Obama continues to use the politics of fear, envy and division to get the "useful idiots" to reelect him because thats all he's got.

Well Noodle, the goal should not be to tax anyone more than they already are, the goal should be drastic cuts in excess spending and shrinking of the government. Thats the ONLY way to fix things. Will R&R do it? Cant be sure. Will Obama do it? That question has been answered in the last 4 years, hasnt it? Who cares where he shot that deer, as long as he did it legally, theres no problem.

Ha! Do I have a choice? I can't vote for Obama. What the heck, I'm not a socialist. I am not enthusiastic about Romney, but the choice is clear enough.

Advantech is always my choice... I have pulled up and replaced more delaminated plywood floors and roofs than I can remember. I am also a believer in 1/2" OSB and clips for roof sheathing as well... in fact I seldom use plywood for anything unless the customer requests it... and I always try to talk them out of it.

Lets see, vote for someone who has never run a business in his life and has run this country into the ground. ( America was one of the biggest busineses around till now ) Or vote for Romney who has run successful bussineses all his life and has done what needed to be done to make a company work? Hmmmm I dont know? All I know is you better choose carefully the path for the next 4 yrs because this election will make or break America. You might want your pills cheap and your doctors cheaper but if it enslaves your children and your grandchildren is it really worth it. The poor have more benefits than we do and they just keep getting poorer maybe let them starve and see how fast they find a job.Medicare,foodstamps and the like should only be for the people who are truely in need. I find it funny how the libs call themselves progressives but they dont show much in progress, everything just keeps getting worse, Education , exploration, science, the economey. ect,ect the list could go on. Maybe they should relize that the money makers they hate so badely are the ones who fund progress but then they would be republicans and there would be no more democramps.

Youll lose a little speed, and a touch of range, thats it. It will be just fine out to 250+ yards. I had an Encore pistolin 260 Rem, as does one of the guys I hunt with. I shot a doe at 200 yards with a 140 grain Remington Core-Lokt and it went 10-20 yards before dropping dead. I saw my buddy shoot a doe with his at 275 yards, and it went down like someone chopped its legs out from under it. Youll have more of an issue getting a nice solid rest than youll have with range, just make sure to shoot it plenty and know the limits.

Other than the increased difficulty of shooting the "handrifle" accurately, I will alter my statement..At the ranges you quoted, 200-250 yards, there still would be little difference between the two as far as trajectory or bullet performance on game.. Once you get out around 300 yards hitting the target becomes more problematic with the pistol, not because of any lack of inherent accuracy, but simply because the pistol is harder to shoot accurately than a rifle. I say this from experience with a number of different rifle calibers and also a Thompson Encore pistol in 7mm08 and a Rem XP100 pistol in .260 rem ...

Growie...Please excuse me, because I don't want to hijack your thread, but this reminds of an anecdote.. Years ago there used to be a popular "watering hole" in Addison named THE RITZ CAFE... There was no air conditioning in The Ritz, so on hot summer nights they used to keep the front door open to Main Street, which is lined with streetlights. The bats would swoop around the streetlights to eat the bugs, and often one would end up fluttering around inside the Ritz. The bartender would hand out tennis rackets to several of the patrons, and the menace was soon taken care of.. Often, the next morning there would be half a dozen dead bats lying by the curb in front of The Ritz. Just a little taste of "Americana" Steuben County style...

I love the simplicity of camp... our camp is tucked in the woods... no electricity or running water... Coleman stove for cooking... candles and coleman lantern for lights... and an outhouse.. I wouldn't have it any other way and believe it or not my wife wouldn't either...which is great for me.. because when momma's happy... everyone is happy!!

No it is a case of if I do it alone it will have no effect but if we all agree to do it by setting a regulation or law it will work great. When something does not work there is no reason to do it. I harvested yearling bucks before ARs because there were no adult bucks. No choice yearling or no deer. Now with ARs I harvest adult bucks and do not shoot the yearling that have 3 points because I know there are adults to be harvested.

It seems that many of you hunters that are against AR's do not have a good grasp on how deer management works... I'm not sure where you are getting your information on whitetails... but much of it is incorrect... in order to be able to discuss an issue properly you should at least know something about that topic... in the past there wasn't much on whitetail biology or deer management available to hunters, but today there is a ton of info out there. Educate yourself on the subject... it will make it so much easier to have an intelligent conversation... having differences in opinion is great... thats how we get a good debate going to discuss these kinds of issues... its not about changing minds, but more about getting intelligent info from both sides to better understand or to find common ground.
